A very fun game.
Instead of Playing as the Point Man from the first game you play as Sergeant Michael Becket.
The first problem i had was playing with a new character who also has super reflexes (slow mo). That was what made Point Man unique. But too many people have this ability, im including the FEAR Sergeant from FEAR Perseus Mandate.
But because of how great the game was i grew to like Becket.
The gameplay is good, weapons are good and interesting, the sound is good, the game looks good, the enemies are good and interesting, levels are good, you even use mechs or turrets at some points.
And the plot is better than the first FEAR.
However, like FEAR Extraction Point, FEAR 2 follows a very similar road as the first FEAR.
By that i mean it feels very similar, too similar, right down to squadmates, communications, who dies, when they die and how they die.
So the game is predictable because it follows the first FEAR so closely.
Also, throughout the game you gather 'intelligence': information through text that explain certain things, i think.
I say "i think" because i dont actually read them which is a shame, it would have made the story better. They should have put it in the form of audio diaries.
I think mainly what makes FEAR 2 so great is Alma's obsession with Becket, which also gets me interested in Becket, and makes him such a great character.
Its too bad in the 3rd game he is treated with no respect and they screw it up, what they do to him.
****** me off.
+DLC F.E.A.R. 2: Reborn
Although very short, its also very sweet.
You play as a Replica soldier. Paxton Fettel summons you so he can be reborn in you.

Minus the DLC i rate this game a 6.
With the DLCs Betrayal of Jimmy, Jimmy's Vendetta and Joe's Adventures i give it a 7 or 7.5
Great voice acting.
Hand to hand combat is fun.
The game is set in an interesting time period 1940-50, alot of potential.
But the game is also boring.
Way too much driving sections. Not much interesting to listen to on the radio, would have made the driving more fun. Driving feels stiff sometimes.
Weapons are good but sometimes i cant feel the impact of my bullets on an enemy.
The missions are not that exciting or memorable except for the last mission.
The missions are very simple, like day to day activities.
And you cant explore the world out of mission, nothing to do.
However i still think its a pretty good game with alot of potential but just didnt deliver it.

An amazing, fun, addicting game.
With multiple ways of completing goals, earning experience points, and distributing them.
Nice graphics and voice acting. Good memorable characters.
Some small problems:
I cant toggle staying in cover, but aim is toggle only.
To shoot from cover instead of pressing aim button you must us the directional keys.
But the worst parts are the boss battles. They feel out of place in the game. I focused on a stealthy playthrough but during the boss battles if you don’t have strong enough firepower you will die.
Also the DLC Missing Link was good. Would have been better if it wasn’t installed separately from the main game.

A pretty good game. You play as Riddick as he tries to escape a prison.
The stealth is the best part of this game, when it works.
Riddick can see in the dark so you must shoot out the lights and use his night vision. However often even when its pitch black enemies will still see you and just riddle you with bullets.
And some lights are covered in bullet proof glass for some reason so there are some you cant shoot out.
Worst part is the shooting. Guns act weird. When too close to a wall, object or enemy the gun disappears and you cant shoot.
At some points you use mechs also fun.
Hand to hand combat also good when it works.
The voice acting is also very good.

I had more fun playing Call of Duty 1 and 2. The weapons and combat were more fun. I also felt more freedom, i didnt feel forced to follow my squad, and my squad didnt take all the kills i these tight areas, there was enough to go around with the open space. If felt good.
It was hard to connect with the characters, especially the main character. The only people i remember are Soap and Gaz.
I dont like controlling multiple characters in one campaign.
I would have preferred 2 full campaigns, one where you only control Soap and one where you only control Paul. No switching back and forth.
Gameplay is fine. This is the only time that i was OK with the 2 gun limit. However the gameplay doesnt vary much, mostly shooting, and a little bit of areal assault, and a sniper mission.
Linear. You can jump over somethings but then the game prevents you from jumping over other things.
I did like how smooth it plays.
I found the game to be too short though, im talking singleplayer campaign.
Overall a good game.

F.E.A.R. Platinum: FEAR + FEAR Extraction Point + FEAR Perseus Mandate
FEAR is a very fun FPS game. This is mostly due to reflex time (slow motion). Without it i doubt the game would be as good.
There is also the creepy atmosphere that keeps it interesting, although not creepy enough.
The gameplay is where this game shines for me, its great, better than modern FPS's:
You are able to hold up to 3 weapons.
There is no button to go into cover, instead you stand or crouch behind walls and objects and can lean out to shoot.
No regenerating health. You can carry 10 health packs. And pick up armor.
No cut scenes, you're always in control of the protagonist
And of course the slow mo.
The game is gory. You can tear enemies apart with bullets. Even blow heads off with shotguns
The story is pretty good, characters are good even though you spend most of your time alone and dont get to interact with them much.
However, the game seems to be more fun and creepier at the beginning.
But afterwards it gets a little repetitive. You fight the same enemies throughout the game.
I wish i didnt spend so much time indoors, and more time outside in the streets.
Sound design is also amazing. Just the sound of walking or climbing or swimming sound so good.
The weapons, especially the shotgun, sound great.
However what this game is missing is a soundtrack. There is no background music to get you pumped up, especially during battle sequences.
One of the best FPS I've played.

And so ends the greatest game trilogy ever.
Well the Reapers are finally here, its time to end this war once and for all.
The gameplayis not as good as ME2.
Getting into cover causes problems some time. Scanning isnt fun anymore because you keep having to watch for Reapers showing up.
Navigating the map also suck.
But the real problem are the endings.
Not that the endings are bad. It was touching, I almost cried.
The problem is the way it was executed i think.
I felt like all i did in the 3 games was really pointless, i dont even get closure, a real satisfaction:
Spent my time making allies, making tough choices, gathering assets, building an army and dont even get to see them in action.
I can say more about the endings but i wont.
Despite my mixed feelings about the ending,
this was a great game and a great trilogy.

The best game of the trilogy.
The gameplay was updated.
This time you are working with Cerberus to stop the "Collectors".
You get a new team. At first i didnt like it but i came to really appreciate my new team, since investing in them actually pays off in the end.
A great game.

A great game.
You can customize your characters appearance and personality. Level up your abilities and skills. You can be nice or mean.
Good plot: takes place in outerspace, ancient beings are coming back to destroy civilization as they always did in the past and its up to you to stop it.
Great characters, you can even start a relationship with some of them.
Not only are there humans but also aliens.
Great dialogue, there is alot of talking, this game is not just shooting.
Great enemy, this may be the first time in a game where the boss was actually able to make me wonder how am i gonna win, can we actually beat him.
Great conclusion, but its only the beginning.
A great trilogy.

First of all I wasn’t too fond of the game being released in episodes, but I guess the goal was the suspense, so thats understandable.
This game has very good characters, and a very good story.
The gameplay consists mostly of conversation options and quick time events.
Now the game constantly reminds me that my options change the story or the outcome of the game…unfortunately…it doesn’t.
And that’s what I don’t like about this game.
My choices don’t change much. The story goes where the developers say the story goes regardless of your choices.
If they say you are gonna miss, you’re gonna miss.
If they say this person is gonna die then this person is gonna die. Etc.
I didn’t feel in control.
