It's an AK47 model, you won't have a chance to see it close up, and really the only smooth parts are in the front, so you won't be seeing the smooth parts too often

Exactly what I mean. :D doesn't look too close to the original, more model placement, and I see some very good lighting.I'm having a very hard time finding something bad about this map :)

I'm just saying, source remakes of goldsrc games don't have to be just goldsrc with awesome graphics. This map looks awesome, with lighting and textures, but it look like BS got converted to a source map, and they changed the textures and added lighting. Perhapsmaybe they could add some catwalks, windows, put the walking area on the other side, pipes near the top, vents, and a bit more physics props. That's pretty much all. The map looks very good though.

also, it won't work. I just realized that. The actual half life 2 will need to have this code, and it doesn't , so you can't save your maps for half life 2, only this mod.It is a good idea. though

can you guys make it so you can change NPC sounds?

The ones with 1 star, they actually look pretty good

This mod is not dead, not very many people know of it, however.
With a website with a large amount of members, and a small amount of them not being interested in most portal mods, there's not a high chance of my mod getting much attention. Most people will think that Portal mods will be yet another mappack , where you play as a subject before chell, or just play as a subject in a different facility, with a different GLaDos. Another reason why it's not getting much attention is because people are interested in Portal 2 mods. Portal 2 is new, so people would love to see some continuations of Portal 2's storyline.
If I had portal 2, and my computer could support , I would make this a mod to THAT instead. Unfortunately, not everyone has portal 2 for the PC (I have it for Xbox, which I regret, now that my Xbox has RROD).
To make a long explanation short:

Mod is not dead, mod is not getting attention due to the release of portal 2.

Valve uses Portal 2 authoring Tools, which comes with entities for the funnels(I think) Right now, I have to use portal detectors and entity makers lol

I have recently made a scientist/Guard reskin for regugees, if you would like to use it , please PM me. but the guards don't look too good, so I'll change that.

they follow you, they do this in hammer, too I don't know why. Try A.I mapping late at night.

I prefer desktops, they usually have more space, and you can upgrade all desktops, in laptops, you can't upgrade video cards. :D Desktops ftw

I know your comment is about a year old, but I'll reply anyway.
You expect too much , I think the level looks awesome, mainly because I'm a level designer myself, and know how difficult it is to make a map that looks as perfect as it is in your fairy tale. I also don't expect much detail when it comes to art, I just expect a fair amount of props, clipping, func_details, and brushes.
Good Job, EvilGoodGuy, If I knew where to find Black Forest Cake, I would gladly offer some. :D

lol nice RPing. Yeah, I'm currently struggling with propulsion gel, I made the texture, and you'll go fast, but you won't gain any momentum. Oh well, at least the REpulsion gel is working :P
