Hey guys, I doubt this will ever get read, but i feel i should give it a shot. Its my first, so keep the criticism constructive please! :)
Ive seen alot of people start blogs with a nice little quote, so here is one from Rubin 'Hurricane' Carter:

Ok, so now onto the important stuff...
Gaming, Modding, etc. etc.
Recently i've been looking into a lot of new mods, some new, some old, and some still in development. I've decided i'll review/preview them here.

Firstly, i'd like to draw everyone's attention to Stargate: Empire at War, which is a brilliantly made mod for SW:EAW. Unfortunately, only recently releasing an english patch, still incomplete. However, the content is fairly extensive, if not confusing at first. I tried my hand at the campaign, but quickly became annoyed and bored with it, due to simple not having a clue what to do. The mission holocron gave no information of my next task, and i was left to guess what to do from a couple of lines of text involving Daniel Jackson and the Prometheus. Perhaps if I knew every Stargate SG-1 story back to front, i might know that this part of the story refers to P4X-973 or something like that, and i'd go there. But i don't, and so didn't. After just two hours, the mod was closed, and i haven't reopened it since. Sorry guys, looking forward to Stargate Vengeance, which is a machinima series, using SG:EAW and an SG source game for the scenes.

Moving on now, I bring myself to Stargate Invasion, a modification for Sins of a Solar Empire, one which is still in production, but which i am most looking forward to out of anything on moddb. I'm personally very pleased at the progress of the team and the responsiveness of its co-ordinator, whom regularly checks the page and responds to all questions and comments. Well done to you sir! The game does look truly phenomonal, with many canon ships from the series, but also including some newly designed ships which are frankly amazing! I can't wait to be thrown into the Stargate Universe, placed on Earth and sent to investigate the milky way, before finally moving on to the Pegasus galaxy using my long range jumps! All i can hope for is a release date soon.

Thats the only two im going to cover today as far as moddb goes. But i'd just like to let everyone know about what i'm doing at the moment in the modding community. I'm currently writing for a couple of mods/games, which are still in early production, and also trying to co-ordinate a new mod, which you can find using the mods link above. If anyone would like to help with the aforementioned projects, just give me a buzz or a comment!
