I'm in the last year of school and therefor not far away from the beginning of my Informatics study at the Technical University of Munich. I started modding with Freelancer a few years ago and after a short break in which I learned many things about CGI techniques I settled over to the BF-Engine. I'm one of the founders of Universe Modding and one of the main coders for our project 'Stargate: Revenge of the Fallen', a Mod for BF-2142. Besides, I'm working on some graphical stuff lately, if I come to it I'll write some things about those two things here. If you want to ask me anything, just send an IM via Jabber/XMPP, ModDB or Xfire or write an E-mail. I also have ICQ and MSN but I don't like them much, so please stay away with those.

As always this is footage of the Development-Version, so some things there are far away from final.

Actually programming/coding stuff is almost done. The few things we are still having some problems with are the 1p and 3p Animations and a lack of texture-artists. ^^'

Bit late but anyways.
This is in fact the ingame BC-304 3D-Model. Rendered in Cinema 4D tough.

In Space there will be only the 304 and the Hatak (besides the fighters of course), as the other captial ships would just be too huge.

Yeah, the Priors were all brainwashed, but not their followers. Like in every "religious" grouping (even among the Jaffa) there are always fanatics, who would still be fighting for their Gods, knowing that no one else believes in them or they're even considered dead.
To the thing with the Prior. You need a strong mind to resist a Goa'uld, yes. Adria had that since she was in the most advanced state a human could be before ascention but do you think a Prior who technically lost everything he believed in would still have enough spiritual strength to resist even a minor goa'uld if took by suprise? Well, we do not.
So in the end we have a Prior who was too weak to resist the takeover of a Goa'uld, the Goa'uld's loyal Jaffa and their allies, the Lucian Alliance (which, after all isn't that unrealistic, considering the fact, that they might not know that the Prior, is a Goa'uld after all).
The point of bringing in the Ori or at least their technology is to even out the odds.
A BC304 could easily take out several "normal" Hataks used by the Lucians or minor Goa'uld, thanks to it's asgardbeams if it wasn't took by suprise (like in Ep01S01 of SGU)... so we had to think about something which would make it a bit more equal and ended on the thing with the Prior who became a Host to a yet unknown Goa'uld (as all the others are dead).
And we tought about bringing in the Wraith but as the Game gives us to little possibility to do it in a way it would be "realistic" (e.g. in gameplay) we decided not to do so.
(That's btw why the Mod is called "Revenge of the Fallen", for all those who still think of Transformers...)

Well, as said a few times before (hm... maybe it's time for a little FAQ-Video ^^), maybe.
We don't know how good botsupport will work out on these Spacemaps, as the AI practically can't spawn anywhere.
If we can spawn them directly into vehicles it might be possible, but that's something we'll try out closer to the Release, for now we have to get the last few space vehicles ingame and even out the odds before we can move on to the ground battles and things like Bot-Support.

Well... in one Episode there are just like 6 or 7 F302s in a Hangarbay. In another (e.g the one where the Wraithtransport is landing in the Hangarbay) 'bout 10 or 12 fighters would fit in. That's what I mean with scaling by MGM. ;)

Oh and the question isn't if we do get those 12 F302s in the 304's Hangarbays but if MGM dind't do any scaling crap on this one. ;)

Kinda both. In Space they are vehicles. On ground they are Titans in which you can walk around freely (well... at least trough some parts of the ships).

Well as Spacecombat is more or less Conquest without captureable flags it might be possible to have it in SP as well.
But that depends on two things actually: The Engine letting us spawn Bot's directly into the Vehicles and the complexity of building up a good 3-Dimensional Navmesh for those Vehicles.
So... maybe. We have to see, when we come to SP-coding.

What he is trying to say: This Mod is under development for two years by now. And the decision for the Name had to do nothing with the Transformers movie, which wasn't even announced in germany at the time we came up with the name.
You can take the title literally. It's the revenge of all the fallen enemies of the Tau'ri so we used this name.
Any other comment pointing to the Transformers Movie, anywhere on this Mod's Pages will be deleted. We have nothing to do with Transformers and will never have. Period.

Ungh... why do you all ask me this after like 5 month.. am I an elephant?
Okay, enough joking.

What I can say definately is that this piece of musik is from a company called "X-Ray Dog" which makes Trailermusic for TV- and Movietrailers.
But the Album and Title... ask me sth. easier...
I think it was "Blaze of Glory" from their Album "Anubis" but I'm not sure.

Sorry to tell you, but the Prometheus was called X-303 and then BC(for Battle Cruiser)-303 after its final testflights.
X-301 and X-302 were the experimental units for the F(for Fighter)-302 which was its designation as final version.
The official designation for the Deadalus-Class (Deadalus, Apollo, Oddysee, Korolev, Sun Tzu and George Hammond) is BC-304 as mentioned more than once in the series. ;)
Believe me, I really know the Series. I've seen every single episode at least 10 times.
Point of this novell: According to the Atlantis and late SG-1 Series the designation "BC-304" is correct for a Daedalus-Class Ship.

Very good question... we actually haven't tought of Botsupport yet as we got enough work to do.^^

But I think the proper answer at the moment is:
If the so called Navmeshing doesn't take too long it might be possible that some Conquestmaps will have SP-support in the first release. Otherwise it may come with a later release.

We settled on a non-transparent magazine as Battlefield does not support animated Textures in a way we would need them.
So if you fire with the P90, the magazine won't loose any bullets which, in our opinion, doesn't look good.
