I agree, that the rocket launcher was silent, but not that really bad. It was okay.
And at the minigun I had no complains at all.

Is there a non-standalone release? As a steam user, I don't want to download over 1 GB. I mean, I have already the game, so these are unnecessary files for me.
use "bot_add" over console. there you have bot support.

I played always the Atari Jaguar Wad with 3DO FLAC Soundtrack Wad. Is this not the same like this download? I mean, 3DO Version is the same like Jaguar version, isn't it?
Thank you very much, you answered my question perfectly. So I know that I can stay with 1080p with this mod. The fact is that the 4:3 Resolutions in JKA offers more vertical image in cutscenes than 1920x1080.
knowing how your cutscenes are intended to be seen, is really important for me ^^

Two small Questions:
#1 If the main download contains the 0.1A Patch Readme, than it is patched with it right? I'm confused, because on the main menu it says still "core version" and also the download itself was 800 MB somewhat if i'm not wrong.
#2 Are the cutscenes of the mod intended to be played in 4:3 resolution or 16:9? I ask because I want the best experience and no wrong cropping. (JKA cutscenes are always vertical cropped in 16:9, doesn't matter the fov settings)
Some cutscenes were really nice in 16:9, but another contained npc's, which their faces where out of screen. please tell me which aspect ratio is the official one.
Light could be okay if the skybox would have more clouds?
Tested it, makes DOOM I and II very atmospharic! Like PS1 Doom.

you have already inofficial bot support.
just use the console and the "add_bot"-command.
it worked for me and i played already some matches.
the same point why hl:source exist: showing, that porting GoldSRC Content to Source can be done.
Why not do the same experiment with CS 1.6?
1.6 has no bots, only CS:CZ had them. And the movement can maybe done like in 1.&. The KZ Mod did this for (1.6 controls/movement in source engine)

In my steam friendlist I have someone who plays only hl1 and cs 1.6.
he is also playing in 480p and believe me or not. but on the screens you see his fps counter. its often under 20 fps!

Yes, there are still people with old pcs.
But however. it doesn't matter if this people have still fun with their games.
wow, very nice tool! original doom had also something similar. but uploading maps from this tool is forbidden for doom 1 and 2.
hopefully hl3 will not destroy some day your story. otherwise you could try to focus on story while hl2 maingame? but thats not that original like the story after ep1, so continue :)
