I'm an custom map creator as well as a 2d/3d artist with most experience with the source engine, along with Mudbox and Maya. Most of the time I'll be creating idea experiments with the environments which mostly pertains to interactive game mechanics . I don't mind sharing Ideas, however I would only give them if credit is given. I don't mind helping out with mapping (which includes the input/output system, a degree of Imitated AI , as well as making scenes with Faceposer tool. I do know some degree programming, but still a beginner at it due to the lack of time I have to learn it.
I'm currently building a QC script generating tool to quickly and simply make qc files (as well as batch files) used for compiling models. It will also automatically create the directories you define for the model your working on. Setup is also easy. It automatically configures itself to your computer without a need to install it, giving anybody more flexibility. Bottom line, faster model creation with an easier tool. The QC Generator tool will support Source 2006 all the way to the latest valve game(Providing an sdk/authoringtool is installed and available). It will also directly connect with the appropriate utilities that exists in within the source sdk/Authoring tools. I do plan to release it in the upcoming months once all of the kinks are worked out of it. Let me know what features you would think would be helpful in making models easier!
