nevermind, he just did a reinstall of the mod and hotfix, and got it working.
But damn these easy AI's are hard! Need more practice I guess, but amazing mod!
So I'm trying to play this with my friend, and apparently we have different check sums, even though we both downloaded the same files and did the same installation
Awesome work, guys! Every new picture I see, I get more excited for this game!
ah, ok, apparently I was missing the NC_CUSTUM_HUD.PK3 (for some reason, it only downloaded the NCHUD_BD.PK3). And I was never told to actually drag the files over on top of the GZDoom.exe, the website just told me to add things to the .ini. But, I got it working now, thank you for your help :D
Nope, nothing's working. I guess I'll just stick with Zandronum, considering I'm able to launch it in Hardware mode, which allows me to look up and down without the FOV freaking out.
Well, I still get the same message when I try to open ZDoom, and I haven't even modified it
I thought ZDoom was Zandronum...
ahh, this is more like it
I tried following the instructions, but I keep getting this message on the Zandronum launcher:
Execution could not continue.
Script error, "zdoom.pk3:language.enu" line 1610:
Expected '=', got 'ifgame'.
oooo this looks MUCH tastier than v19! Can't wait!
That's what I'm trying to figure out, though :\
I LOVE this add-on, but I was wondering if I'm able to use this along with another add-on or 2? Because I want to use a different visor style while playing this Enhanced Edition. Is that possible? If so, how would I do that?
ah, got it working, thanks! I think I used OpenGL, but I also changed some settings, so not sure. Either way, I got it, thanks for the help :)
Can anyone please tell me how you get it where whenever you look up or down, it stays normal? Because for me, whenever I play Brutal Doom, and I look up or down, the FoV goes crazy, and the skybox seems to mess up as well.
Or maybe they're just sooo big, you can see them from space...
oh, I think he's talking about making the models in the Unreal Engine, as he states he was using the Unity before. It should still be for FONV, unless I missed something
what makes you ask that?
I literally just got into 3D modelling like at the beginning of this week, lol, so if anyone hasn't taken this position within the next few months, I might be of some help
it's not really "criticism" when you go around saying "this has disappointed me!" :\
I think you're kinda nit-picking here, you're not really looking at the atmosphere and general look of the image, which it captures very well. Yea, there's some minor issues, but this is also most likely an alpha look, they have tons of work still at hand and of course they're going to make some changes. In general, they did a great job, but yea, they can clean it up a bit, which they probably will
ah, I understand. Thanks for the help!
So, I'm having an error when trying to start it (I'm using Zandronum, if that makes a difference). I have read the instructions, and placed the file contents in my WADS folder where Doom and Doom2 are (I have the Doom 3 BFG edition on Steam, and I'm able to play normal Brutal Doom on it). I have both the Zandronum and Brutal Doom in the WADs folder, so that's where I also put this addon at. When I open the .bat file for Brutal19 (which I edited to open the zandronum.exe instead), it would prompt me to select either Doom 1 or 2. When I try loading either of them, it'll load, but then come up with a fatal error of:
"Execution could not continue.
Script error, "opinhumanbeta.pk3:thecodes.wad:W_DEFAUL" line 19:
"weapon.bobstyle" is an unknown actor property"
How do you get it where when you look up or down, the game looks normal? Because, whenever I look up or down, the FOV seems to freak out and everything stretches and looks weird.
just to be sure, level 0 is a neutral flag, right?
Well, I found out that my Source SDK 2013 Singleplayer wasn't working, so I actually redownloaded it and, and now everything is working fine. Sorry about that :)
So I'm having a serious issue. I've downloaded the latest version, and every time I click on "New Game", it loads for a bit, then prompts "Node Graph Out Of Date. Rebuilding..." then crashes to desktop. And it does this every time. I've tried deleting it from my sourcemods folder, redownloading, and reinstalling. I've even tried the hotfix patch, still didn't work. I was able to play it when the demo was first released, but I think it started doing this because I attempted to use my Oculus Rift on it, by trying to set it up the same way you would with HL2 (set launch options to -vr, then in game, activate Virtual Reality). I've cleared the launch options, and the virtual Reality setting in game should be disabled, but I'm still having this issue. Can someone help?
Thanks for the reply! I was just wondering, considering I'm still a bit new to SoaSE, although I have been going through its tutorials from time to time. Thanks for the help :)
just curious, do you guys plan on making a tutorial? Like how the vanilla game has a tutorial
What do you mean? Alternative Reality is correct. The "Other World" doesn't have a definite name, although it's common to be called the "Other World", it can also be known as Alternate World, Another World, Dark World or Nightmare World.
just downloaded the latest version, and it still gives me the same error
every time I try to play the Doomvisor_hudWWDN.pk3 file, it gives me a Bad Syntax error. Help?
cut to bone, pick up the phone!
I don't have $20 on steam and I'm short on money :\
This mod looks really awesome, I'm just waiting for it to be compatible with Rebellion, cuz that's the only one I have lol :P
Also, when you say "the game will stand alone" does this mean you don't need Crysis to play it, just the Cryengine SDK?
oooh very sexy Otherworld, I'm really liking it, can't wait to experience it first hand!
I'm really glad you haven't left this mod, it hasn't gotten any updates for a while. I love FPS games, and I love dinosaurs, and having them put together is an amazing combination (In my opinion). Very excited for this :D
Awesome, I like that slender pose better than the last. Not to insult, but the last one looked like he was hunching over, looked kinda awkward. But I'm lovin this new one. Great job!
This brings up a question I have for this mod entirely. Will you be adding the ability to aim down your iron sights to the game, or is the aiming system going to stay the same like the vanilla Half Life?
