Original custom monsters, custom weapons, hud, textures, fully functional-motion tracker, brutalized gore, and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting at the moment.

Sounds awesome! I have Zandronum, but what other wads do I need to run to make it work? DooM 2 iWad, and with brutal doom wad on top?

Please make an install tutorial. I have Zandronum and iwads such as ultimate doom, doom, doom 2. and I have your wad and the brutal doom wad.
Doesn't work. Tried all sorts of combinations

After you unzip the file, just drag and drop the ALIENS Ultimate Doom (TC) pk3 file over the GZdoom source-port executable. Unfortunately, this pk3 is not currently compatible with zandronum. Though there are plans for it in the future.

This pk3 currently works best with the first, Ultimate Doom iwad, since most of the textures have been converted for that game particularly. Though it does work well with other doom iwads.

I hope this is useful, if not, let me know.

I really like it but I couldn't stand the music in the first 2 levels at least (that's all I tried so far) and the motion trackers blip sound started working on my nerves rather quickly (I think again more so the sound itself then the fact it's constantly making a sound, I'd love for it to be replaced to be honest) but other then that I absolutely love it fantastic work :-D

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback

FYI: you can use the m button on the keyboard to skip to another track; I have implemented the RanDoom music player.

The soundtrack is an amalgamation of many past Aliens games form the 80s and 90s.

Only certain things-
Most of the weapon sprites are from aliens online. Though a lot of them have been edited by jdredalert.
the music is from various aliens games
Justin Fisher's Egg and Facehugger were put in as a nod to his TC.

However most of the other stuff is all original, with the exception of residual doom elements that are yet to be converted.

Also some things from other games were used as a foundation. For example, the wings of the flying xenomorph are from the death wyvern from Hexen.

It's AwesomE! Is it normal if I encounter more allies than enemies? Music is a bit out of place compared to the kind of game, although is from aliens games u.u

I am thinking about making the music a separate download in the add-ons. Moreover, dividing them into different editions, like "Action" or "Survival-horror". This way, people can tailor their game play experience; at least with the soundtrack.

Moreover, by doing this, I will massively reduce the file size.

Tried it for about one hour.
Pros / Cons:

Pros:
- Shooting the aliens are fun: They scream, explode, and leaves acid everywhere!
- Love to place the turret too! Good for tactics if you are low on ammo.
- Working motion tracker
- Flares
- Flashlight

Cons:
- The weapons do look kind of ugly and just also looks just pasted it making them look flat and not "3d".
- Tracers on the pulse rifle doesn't fit in I think. Just remove the tracers all together
- The original DooM maps doesn't fit well with this.
- Motion tracker has very annoying detection sound, make it sound like in other avp games / or from the aliens movie
- I tried turning the motiontracker off with Q, but didn't work
- The music is terrible! Add more creepy ambient music like from the movies
- Flying flapping Aliens? Lol, looked some sort of bat.
- Spitting aliens? Never cared much for this.

Summary: I think this mod has lot of potential

I've been playing a lot of this, myself; it is one of the best Aliens mods out there, and even tops seemingly most of the official Aliens games - so great job on that! I do have a few criticisms, however. (Do note that this is a really shortened version of my post as I have to work with the 2000 character limit, so apologies if any of it seems terse.)

1. I think the music needs to be more consistent. It's eighties action-game one minute and weird horror game with a guy doing a cliche evil laugh in the background the next.

2. Friendly marines should be optional; they're too effective at clearing rooms before I even get there.

3. There's too much acid splatter. Killing two to three aliens practically fills an entire room.

4. While the acid blood needs to be less in volume, I think it should be more deadly (perhaps scaling with difficulty). In the films it's highly corrosive and ofttimes fatal, and I shouldn't be able to wade through the stuff and just take a couple hitpoints of damage.

5. GZdoom is the absolute /worst/ for multiplayer; I can't even begin to list all the problems I get when playing with a friend via ZDL. If this could be ported to Zandronum, that would be fantastic.

6. I run out of ammo too often simply because most of the pickups are for a sniper rifle that I don't even have.

Other than that, I'm loving the mod so far. ^^ keep up the great work!

Also, what happened to the entry for this on the Brutal Doom page? It was there yesterday but now it's gone, and loving this as much as I do, I'm concerned.

A couple things I forgot to mention! Firstly, the only two classes capable of being selected in multiplayer are assault and random. Secondly, the assault player sprite doesn't seem to have any shooting or damage frames, causing whoever's shooting or getting damaged to vanish. Thirdly, in multiplayer sometimes when a player inadvertently kills themselves via a close-range grenade, the entire game will crash for them and the other players on the server will become frozen in place, unable to continue. The effect can be seen here: Youtu.be

I appreciate the in-depth analysis, I want to address some of these issues eventually. I plan on making this mod Zandronum compatible in the future.

This mod is really great mate.
-sprites are cool and weapons rock !!!
-I don't know if others noticed it but the synthetic pulse rifle sound is absolutely awesome, better than colonial marines, perfect with the pitch shifting, a good level of bass... Make it the same for all of the pulse weapons please !!!
-just one point : remove these awful tracers, i dont know why in every game nowadays we got them appearing .
-And give us a good mappack that suits the wonderful mod you've given us.
If i had it back then in the 90's I wouldn't have given up on doom so fast .
Thk u again

(one more suggestion, give the shotguns a little more power, i feel them a bit weak and if we could have the terminator (the 1st one)shotgun sound from the original stereo mix, was like thunder over your *** when they fired. Absolutely 80's

It was quite fun to play. Definitely deserves to have some maps. I am sick of the doom 2 maps.
