Report RSS GreyLienz! - My concept, all feedback is appreciated!

GreyLienz is a cartoony sort of 2D, shoot-em-up, side scroller game with many references to real world things such as other games. As you may have guessed, it involves an alien. You are a grey alien that has crashed down to earth. You must navigate through several levels killing many different types of enemies ranging from the BFI to fast food staff, no idea why fast food staff are an enemy, although they are. There will be a boss at the end of each level as per usual, although i'm planning on making this a different experience to most games. At the moment there is a boss at the end of each level although depending on feedback and my own confidence at the time, i may try to change it up. Different power ups can be found throughout the level giving you different weapons and bullets to kill your enemies. I'm thinking of making it a hard game, so you will probably only manage 1 or 2 shots before you die, although i will be adding lives or chances that you have at each level.

I plan on adding Local co-op to the game too, not enough games give pc players this option anymore and i would love more games to provide it. As the saying goes, i'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Why you'd need it is beyond me, but it's something to do when you have a friend over or to get your family involved a little bit.Tying in with the co-op attribute, i plan to include minigames that you can play with your friends, things like who can get the most kills, 4 player deathmatch, a zombie mode, every game needs zombies.

I am a lone developer and i will be making all the art, sprites, scripts, music and FX myself. This will be my first ever game and i have many, many games and ideas i would like to create. I absolutely love games, both making and playing them, i have a general knowledge in C++, C#, JS and various other languages so the making of this game will be a bumpy ride for me. Unfortunately i don't have the funds available to be able to afford the £70 fee of getting my game onto steamworks as of yet, although i plan to get there eventually.

This game and many more that i will be making will be entirely free, if i manage to get a few successful games out, my hopes aren't that high, i would count 100 downloads as successful, i may set up a "buy-me-a-coffee" sort of thing as a way to get the funds to be able to get my games onto steam, but until then i will be providing my games through alternate means. I do apologize if i'm not allowed to post here due to not being able to get my game on greenlight, but i thankyou for any feedback i do receive on my concept.
