Thanks but no thanks. I'm perfectly fine being part of the heretic group. The only real group suffering true persecution and never being able to fit in anywhere.

I'd invite you to join but my sect isn't a group...so...yeah.

Are you talking about christains or Nontrinitarians? cuz the second I could see as a persecuted group (a lot of mainstream christains say you are evil heretics)
and I feel for you.

but if your trying to claim christains are persecuted, especially in the wet we both know that's bull- your the majority and CONTINOUSLY make it know you are by trying to enforce your religious rules on al the rest of us.

p.s. it actually doesn't matter if you accept my offer or not, its the second time you have posted content on our group, that means your soul belongs to us....
just thought I would warn you

I'm talking about Nontrinitarians obviously.

As for general Christians: Yes, they are persecuted too but just not in the west. It's your bull if you refuse to accept what's happening in the east and America has more problems than religion. Here in England however, no one is forcing any religion upon anyone unless your definition of "enforcing" is Sunday school and religious parents raising their children religious (which happens a lot more in America).

As for the later, this is not someone "enforcing" religion upon *you* specifically and atheists do the same. An atheist parent would tell their child their opinion of the world. It happens both ways.

You need to realize however that are bigger problems that require your attention. Besides, your irrational crusade against religion won't convert anyone. You're just insulting Jesus. That's sure going to convert a lot of Christians (I'm being sarcastic by the way).

Suffice to say, you're not going through this in a professional way. I hate religious organizations more than you but you don't see me insulting those who are part of them. There are more constructive ways to criticize them.

Compared to the hundreds of times you've posted on our group? Yet you're still atheist and always were even when you were masquerading as a Christian. I don't see your point behind this message.

Well again I never said christain aren't persecuted in the non west. I agree with you there
and in the U.S. their is a major problem (there is a major push against minority and womens rights by the religious) as well as violence and discrimination against the non religious or those of the "wrong" religion
as well as an aggressive push to force religious laws onto the populace by a minority of religious extremists against a majority that doesn't want it.
and my anti religious ideas do deal with bigger issues.
everything from human rights, womens rights, minority rights, secular rights for everyone and environmental and political reform issues interest me aswell- but all those issues (at least in the U.S.) are heavily tied to religion- religion in the U.S. is used to justify literally all of these things in bad ways.

and I was actually a deist at the time not an atheist- I was a cultural christain,
so I was masquerading but that was because I even though I though you were wrong I still though there was a god.
it was actually aggressive atheism similar to how I do it that changed me. made me look at myself and my beliefs an for the first time apply rational thought and logic and skepticism to them as I do with everything else in my life.

I don't live in the U.S but I know you're exaggerating. School prayer was banned in U.S schools over fifty years back and the states are becoming increasingly secular as the years roll on asides from the Bible Belt.

But it's America's fault that its religious people and non-religious people are extremists. America has one of the worst societies and educational systems in the western world. That's not religion's fault.

So again, I'd examine what's really causing failure in human rights, women's rights, minority rights, secular rights environmental rights and political reform issues instead of irrationally attributing them to religion (specifically Christianity).

Seriously? Being Christian really causes you to hate the environment? I best go cut some trees down then!

Westboro does not represent all Christians in the U.S and neither do the backward priests who perform exorcisms.

And you admitted to Yuri that you were just trolling as a Christian. There's no need to deny that.

Quote:it was actually aggressive atheism similar to how I do it that changed me. made me look at myself and my beliefs an for the first time apply rational thought and logic and skepticism to them as I do with everything else in my life.

If it was aggressive atheism that changed you then that explains a lot. It explains why I can rarely have a civilized discussion with you because you're clearly not applying rational thought here.

A deist does not become an atheist because someone says "God is stoopid lols!" but an idiot would, I guess. No offense but I think you're just trying to justify your extremism here. If you really did convert because of mockery then well...wow.

Sigh, I guess I should clarify
In the U.S. forced prayer in schools is "officially" illegal
but many schools (including the one I went to) didn't follow this rule, they required students to pray and would often make us sit through religious lessons
no exceptions allowed- I mentioned earlier hatred for nontrinitarians- I heard that in gradeschool during a mandatory assemblyin which we were taught bigoted and even racist "christain" ideas.
I knew people who were threatened with expulsion because they tried say no to these "seminars" hell they would even announce the people who claimed so the students could sort it out in a good christain way.
which was beat the **** out of the nonconformist
I personally watched things like this happen, Hell I know someone who's house was burned down- and the fire department just watched , because they didn't love jesus.
Did you know that they will throw you out of some of the U.S. military academies if you refuse to take part in evangelical prayer? I have a Jewish friend who tried to refuse on religious grounds- didn't end well.

About the environment- when you believe that the world is ending "soon" there is no incentive to project and manage it in the U.S. the religious right wants to rape the earth and leave nothing for our decedents.
And about social issues- religion is being used to back these failures of these social issue. In the U.S. racism and Christianity are so heavily tied together they are the same animal.

Then they're breaking the law. But if it was such a problem there would have been court cases against them so I doubt it was an "oppressive" as you exaggerate.

You expect me to believe your anecdotal claim? For someone who is meant to be basing their beliefs on evidence you sure do use a lot of anecdotal tales, so forgive me if I'm skeptical that a fire department somehow knew that a burning house was inhabited by an atheist and let it burn and suffered no repercussion for it.

You're sure this isn't just confabulation here for an event where you had no idea what was going on?

More confabulation here. The rainforests aren't being cut down by religious folk. The doomsayers walk the streets asking people to "repent and turn to Christ" rather than "do everything you would never do and take everything you can since none of it will exist soon!" and if I'm wrong then prove me wrong by evidence because your anecdotal claims are getting out of hand.

Quote:In the U.S. racism and Christianity are so heavily tied together they are the same animal.

Yeah, because Martin Lurther King and his supporters were atheists right? Same goes for Obama and his supporters.

More confabulation here.

See site above. The people who have experienced racism link it to people being uneducated and not to religion.

and my trolling of yuri, you may have forgotten but at the time you helped my, why? because it wasn't trolling I was trying to get yuri to quite going to the Islam page and insulting them. I was also talking to the Muslims and trying to get them to stop the same to you guys- and it worked
you are no longer fighting- I thought it was worth lying alittle and saying I believed in jesus (because at the time I believed in god) if it stopped the fighting.

and when I said hard atheism convinced me I don't mean the jokes are cartoons- those are for fun and are silly- they aren't meant to change your mind, we post them for our own enjoyment. what I mean was the works of the four horsemen, and Robert Ingersoll Bertrand Russell, or the works and quotes from Samuel Clemens, Gene Rodenberry, Isaac Asimov.
I also read the Koran, parts of the Vedas, and looked at pagan works- as well as the bible.
mockery got me thinking, it didn't convert me

and I really am not that aggressive, I have no problem with anyone having religious beliefs, I just don't like when they try and move it into the public sector, I believe everyone has the right to whatever religious beliefs they want- as long as is equal. The majority of my friends are either Christian, Jewish or Muslim- we discuss it all the time and enjoy ourselves.

the reason I seem uncivil to you is that all conversations with you have a hostile tone, which I respond to in kind
if I have been misreading you and you are not inherently hostile to me then let me know and I will change my way of speaking- I am fully capable of admitting when I have errored.

I never helped you. I simply spoke constructively towards him. You didn't just troll him. You trolled everyone by masquerading as a Christian.

There were no Muslims starting problems with us. We've always been friends with the I LOVE ISLAM group. Our debates with them have been very constructive unlike the ones with atheists.

Quote:and I really am not that aggressive, I have no problem with anyone having religious beliefs, I just don't like when they try and move it into the public sector, I believe everyone has the right to whatever religious beliefs they want- as long as is equal.

Yet you are dishonest. You lie (see above) and continually post offensive material to people of religion (even your former atheist, turned Muslim member, exalted2000 noted that).

Quote:the reason I seem uncivil to you is that all conversations with you have a hostile tone, which I respond to in kind

See your first post Cervi. You came here lying and and calling bull on what was fact. You even threaten me with empty threats (which in the end amount of you uploading pictures of Hitler calling him Christian which I find hilarious, which is what you did last time when some trolls, raided your group).

That's hostility. Taking your anger out on Christians for what seemed to be an agnostic trolling both groups.
