Sorry edain team for this unnecessary trouble, especially to gnomi who has been incredibly patient to the community. So um.. back to my original suggestion. Would it be a good idea to have builders to build resource buildings freely instead of the fixed build plots? Or the towers at least? The idea is that I feel like some aspects of freedom building should transfer to this mod, otherwise it'll eventually lose its novelty like I did with BFME1.

Let me expand on my idea, you know how you could choose where to place your build plots for some buildings in the older version? Why not just add it to the fortresses and limit the amount?
Thank you for this elaborated explanation, I'll keep this in mind. So does this mean freedom building is completely out of the game? I'm thinking of limiting the amount of buildings so people wouldn't overwhelm the fortress. Also increase the value as you build identical buildings. What do you think?
I still don't understand why evil factions can't have walls. If the mod is going for the realism route, it doesn't make any sense. There is a giant fortress in the middle of their base, but for some reason they can't build walls? :S
While I love the fortresses, is there anyway to retain some of the freedom we had in BFME2? I assume resource buildings have that freedom, but it'll be nice if the buildings inside the walls have it as well. The real reason I liked the old system much more is that you get the feeling you're actually customizing your own base and expanding it. Perhaps you could maybe add an upgrade to expand your fortress wall to have more area to build? Maybe you could add 3 levels of upgrades, so as the game progresses, your fortress can look more epic and not just a small outpost. Just an idea.
BTW, why does the dwarves fortress looks so dark? I assume their building materials should be made out of stone? Doesn't fit will with the dwarves buildings in my opinion. Thanks for reading this :o)
Does this mod work with war of the ring mode?
Doesn't seem to work, I got an error opening the game.
Personally I prefer having more freedom in where I should place my buildings, maybe it's because I like to simcity my buildings. Though I'm fine with the preset fortresses, I hope there will be an option to expand the fortress into a bigger size.
I can't believe I just found this mod. Been using westly's head package, never knew he had one for NPC replacer.
