I remember following this mod way back in ... 2005?
One thing I always appreciated about NeoTokyo was the fact that it didn't hype itself as if it was a commercial game, which a lot mods now unfortunately do act like.
Great to see it make the finish line.
Looking great. I much more prefer this "stay silent until it's all ready" release model for mods. Mods don't and shouldn't need PR like big budget games.
Its been a long time coming, but I don't think we have to wait too long anymore?
Finally. I thought it was dead.
Why hello there, Transcendent One's minions.
Well, the 'production values' are good. Looks like it'll be a high quality mod. The voice actors are adequate, but the dialogue script is pretty bad. I wouldn't worry about that too much though, looks like you have a good game in the making.
Being able to do it yourself is a requirement for critisicm now?
I'll try and be there.
Agree. This article doesn't look like it was applied much logic to. I don't think Spore is going to be moddable, either. You won't be able to make new gamemodes and the like, for simple reasons like people getting the source code of their animation system.
Fantastic stuff. Is the setting more in view with Fallout 1 or the more extravagant Tactics?
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't FOT not have a dialogue engine to speak of? Will you put in your own clever workarounds or will the game lack dialogue skills and choices etc.?
Dystopia always had great art direction. Good to see its still a'working.
Pressed the stupid report button by accident, it should really have some confirmation...
Anyhoo, great composition + love the clouds.
Nice mapping progress. Do you have any plans to extend gameplay in the next version?
I enjoyed the gameplay in Opression immensely, I certainly hope Warlord doesn't deviate from it too much.
Looks great. Some oldschool action would be welcome in the haze of shiny new things. I really hope you finish it.
Heh, the purpose of these polls is becoming awfully transparent :P
Maybe Epic realised graphics>gameplay design works better on consoles. That's not to say it isn't hugely prominant in pc gaming.
"This sucks, PC gaming truly is dying since Epic were the ones that built most of it in the first place."
I think my brain melted at some of the stupidity I heard in this podcast.
Turn-based is naturally the more fitting for rpgs. It emphasises the skills of your character and not your own twitching skills. It requires tactical thinking, frees up resources for AI and is really damn fun (the last part is ofcourse subjective, but man Jagged Alliance or X-COM kick ***).
And since MODDB doesn't allow comment editing, I'll just ask if you have any idea when you are going to rehost the forums?
Are you on the lookout for any artists? Once I get proficient with Zbrush I'd definitely lend a hand.
Fantastic stuff. Now just make sure you keep the rpg mechanics intact. And TB combat ftw.
The board of directors did reject the offer and thus EA moves to the shareholders. Take-Two is screwed, unless for some strange reason the shareholders don't give a **** about money. Which, by the way, is quite unlikely. The EA juggernaut moves on. Capitalism, **** yeah!
Great work, you've managed to keep the style intact even if the visual quality has decreased (naturally, since you are using an older engine). Looking forward to more updates.
Don't tell me you're dead. I hit your website after a long time and all I can see is a ***** enlargement ad. And frankly, I'm happy with my size.
Who the hell is going around putting a -1 on all of Wrayith's posts? Damn this post rating system is stupid, if anyone disagrees they can just click the minus and the post disappears.
The Lambda Complex looks pretty great, as does some of the anomalous materials and some of Apprehension, but otherwise you are deviating too much from the originals, especially with the lighting. It's gotten a whole lot darker and grittier.
