Something is bothering me.
The standard flashlight from brutal mod alerts ennemies when they are lighted. This one doesn't.
which mean we could just keep the flashlight on all the time. Absolutly no reason to toggle it off.

Are you aware of the building extension landing bug ?

when near the right side of the map, the game can validate an area for extension building but cannot do it. The player can just put his building further away from the map side, but the ai ends up lifting and landing indefinitly his building.

There are a few models with some kind of stain on their face. I did not mention them since i did fix them on my own and didn't consider it big enough to be reported.
-The human elf hero has a stain on his nose(looks like he has a big button on his nose).
-the sorceress has a stain right on his mouth.
-....Actually, right now, i don't remember if the priest has a problem except he is very small compared to others.
-Arthas face texture need to be a litle extended because we can clearly see a black line right in the midle of his face(may depend on texture quality setting).
-Arthas undead has a stain under his left cheek, i don't think it was on purpose since other model has this problem.
(I may have forgotten some...or maybe not)

Note: i downladed this mod only once 1 or 2 month ago, i didn't check if anything was updated.

OK! I have just found why none of the murgul model except the slave work for me. Direct crash when the game or world editor try to load them.

Their texture size is not normalized, they are something like 835*516.
After resizing them to normal value like 1024*512 for this one, everything works fine.

Mannoroth and the mortar team have exactly the same problem, one of their texture doesn't have normalized size.

Actually, you add a key to registre for wc3 so it will load data from game folder as well, and then you put the stuff from war3mod.mpq folder in the game folder.
That's how it works for me, but that makes a lot of file in game folder, so i just ended up puting everything in my war3patch.mpq archive.

Note that if the war3patch(or war3mod probably too) archive contains same name file that there is in the game folder, data from game folder will be overwritten.
At least, it's that way for me.

I had tested several hd mod, and this one is the most practical since it doesn't overwrite orignal game archive, thought i had to fix several things here and here, and i'm still not done XD

I'm wondering.... did anyone actually play the full game with this mod ?
Maybe everyone is just messing around with it.

After working for a week in world editor using this mod i discovered that Mortars and Mannoroth make world editor crashed as well as the game.
And it seems the Naga mur'gul reaver also has this problem.

I am using 1.27b

There is also some weird glow on units around the demon hunter. Yes, it is related to demon hunter, it is like his glow is reflected by some invisible face of unit around him.
He is a litle too big to my taste.

The glows in front of the nightelf archer eyes are just too much i think. The huntress portrait is great, but the glow in front of the archer portrait just made it weird compared to all other nightelf unit portrait.

And the portrait of the highelf archer is just completly ****** up. Light behaves strangely around some face in the portrait window but for the highelf archer, it feels like a flat face has been put right in front of her mouth. Combined to her elf eyes, i thought she was a zombie.

I have noticed that some sounds are missing and i believe it is model related.
Summoning of howl and summoning of water element don't make any sound.
The others summonings seem to work fine.

When removing the Units folder, sound is played.

Good thing, version 4.6 is more stable than last release. In the last version doing a full game was almost impossible. It can still crash sometime.

It is just aesthetic but i have just noticed that when healing protoss building with sentry, the building just keep burning. It has to take damage for animation to be actualized.

you don't know what you are speaking about.
I did allmost everything by myself exept 1 model given to me that i didn't edit to much.
Plus, they use my work first xd
because, i'm the one who release the very first stargate mod for homeworld2.Maybe, you never saw it.
Did i reclame something from them? nothing, because it is a fan made for fan.
I took none of the ship from previews space conflict mod(except mine) because none of their ship have level of detail making fighter really hard to select a long ranged view, and sometime, capital ship just disappear from view because game is searching a lod to load but do not find it, and some of their big ship collision box do not allow fighters to shoot on them.
Making a stargate mod using their work would have been harder, because more things to change, to edit, to delete.

This may be because of ... a scrypt about title screen that may use more resource than the game gives to title screen...
A little detail i found after releasing the actual version.
But, it could be another thing also ...
Did you remove all other mod from data folder ?

Only the graphic.
That would not affect the defensefield effect area that will be always a sphere. That is why i choose not to make oval shield graphic effect. This is only a mod.
i'm not sure this would be good, oval shield with effect area bigger than the graphic effect.

It's a matter of gameplay.
I've made them visibles when raised in order to know when a ship has it shield active or not.
Homeworld2 is not very good with shield (looks like it's one of the none finished stuff of the game), in the original game, impact effects are white squares if i'm not wrong XD

It seems that you have an old version. Is it written sgmod 1.3 on title screen?
where did you download the mod?
In fact, there is a bug due to a "ghost ship" with previous version that make crash the game after several minutes of game. To solve this bug, you have to desactivate shadow.
This bug is solved in the actual version.

I have no intention to add battle ship heavier than 304 in Tau'ri fleet.
I would like to avoid doing too much fan made ship. 303 may have some partners joigning the destroyer class, but i don't think i would add more than this.

1.3 is released, you can check out my skydrive or wait for moddb to validate the file.
Wraith fully functional, and multiplayer game seems ok, without AI and with AI.

wraith ship builder have some lights on them indicating if "cocoon building" is available :o

The wraith need some balancing, with the cocoon system, the hive come in mass too fast XD
And they are still some bugs to solve with the cocoon system.
I'm also reworking a little the user interface.
And i also need to know if the custom scrypt i'm doing for the cocoon will not cause synchro error.

Actually, multiplayer game seems stable without AI, but if playing multiplayer game with an AI, the result is sometime strange XD
Two time, it happens that the host was kicked, but the other players were still ingame and could play against AI till the end.
That was strange o.O

In fact, it is a little difficult to give a date.
