Just here to help mods by providing feedback, to ask help on the forums when I encounter issues and to enjoy the modding community.
Maybe I'll actually start modding some day too.
Really good, though aren't you using assets from the Witch Hunters mod in this image? I thought the developers of that mod vanished without giving anyone permission to use their mod for their own development?
Well, so much for Allied air superiority. I think it's time to arm some nukes, comrades. LOTS of nukes. I have a feeling we might need them...
Also known as "The Last Thing You'll Ever Hear". In part because it horribly murders you, but also in part because the few survivors of Noise Baneblade attacks are permanently deaf.
I don't understand why people react so explosively to this. It's just an enthusiastic player who really, really wants to play the new patch. Hard to blame them for that. They can be blamed for posting it as an article though I guess, but does it really matter? It's more likely that the devs will respond this way, which is by all account a good thing because I'm rather certain that the poster of this article isn't the only one who would be eager to hear about how the mod is progressing. :)
Agreed with the other two, a 25% reduction should do it.
So this is essentially the strategy centre on crack and steroids, except you don't get to switch plans. I like it!
WUBWUBWUB FOR THE WUBWUBWUBGOD.
Whahaha, that would be brilliant. XD
Long live the Soviet Union! Can't wait to use this stuff when the mod releases.
I don't even have Fallout 3 for the PC, but I'm tracking this for sheer awesomeness.
If you ask me, WEA actually stands for We Eat AC's. >8D
Just a random thought inspired by this track.
Crysis mods are often graphically very beautiful, which I'm a fan of. Buuuuuut...my computer can't nearly handle Crysis. If it could, I'd have Crysis, and if I'd have Crysis, I download this mod because it looks interesting from the lower trailer.
Alright! Rock on guys!
Awesome concept! Bit better than the previous version.
Still useable with the current Shockwave release?
....and now I am torn. I want to vote for CNC Fallout, but I also want to vote for communism....
Why does every test vid pick on the Soviets though? They're my faves.
I recently wiped and re-installed all my files and haven't downloaded any mods since then, so it's clean.
I set it to compatibility mode for Windows 98/ME. Now it tells me that I need to insert the right CD. Maybe this is because I have The First Decade?
It looks really cool, but no success in making it work yet. When I start it, the program just shuts itself down before anything happens.
Very impressive, comrade! I like what I'm seeing. The Soviet armies don't look as goofy anymore, but rather they look menacing and powerful. Keep up the good work!
The models need a little more detail, but I'm loving them so far! The designs are great, and the Tesla Coil looks magnificent.
EPIC. Not midnight here though. First time I'm happy with time difference: it's 11:05 AM here. XD I feel privilleged to get to wait for thr release nice and easily.
Sorry. Can draw well enough, but can't make anything using software.
In other words, the Steamroll strategy that so many players that are new to RTS's are so fond of. Oh well, can't be helped. Suppose not everything can be perfect.
Just wanted to say a few things:
Yay for stuff from the new Dark Eldar codex that will be in the mod! Those models rock.
Secondly, I noticed the Mark IV Maximus helmet that sometimes appears on certain Black Templar units. Looks great!
Lastly, although I've heard the advanced AI isn't going to happen, I'd like to report noticing that sometimes the AI would make a good move by tying up Devastators with Raptors, only to immediately after that retreat despite outnumbering and outmatching the enemy. Is this part of the AI's current 'thinking', or something unintended? Just curious.
Love the concept! And I like the barrel, the generator and the tracks a lot too. Perhaps the critique above makes sense though. May I recommend following it, and replacing the tusks and round front with dozer blades or something of the sort? Just a suggestion. :)
Cool! When the texturing for the rocket pods is finished it'll look awesome! Are you guys going to add some sort of glow effect to the laser cannons?
This + Obelisks = epic defence.
I love how you used a civil war as an excuse for the fact that the UAN will be the only playable faction. It's brilliant! I'm eager to see just how well exactly it will work out. ^^
I'm not so sure about the voice acting on Technician Vladov, or that one some of the units. But I must say, the Behemoth sounds and looks awesome!
Only one point of critique: the guns atthe sides of the dragon's head don't give a very good look to that part. Perhaos you could make the dragon head actually breathe fire to compensate for possibly removing those guns?
Other than that, love the concept!
No offense, but they are developing units that will actually look a lot better than Soulstorms. They are completely overhauling the old Dark Eldar concept used by Soulstorm, to replace it with a more accurate and fun one.
For instance, if you're a tabletop player this will be great new for you. Or if you just actually like Warhammer 40K.
MOAR Tesla Technology! Please?
Giving a Tesla Commando the ability to call down Weather Storms of sorts to represent some insane tesla generator device in action would be neat.
Custom campaign all the way! You guys have done great work so far, and adding a custom campaign would be the cherry on top!
I never liked the squad a whole lot in C&C, but I did like the fact it instantly gave you several units, making you feel like you were easily amassing a large army. This was great until later tiers. High-tier infantry didn't feel valuable anymore because they came in numbers.
So, my question: Will you vastly upgrade the build speed for the low-tier infantry so you can still swarm with them and feel like you're having a conscription campaign?
No, he's referring to his own username, which is Kornelord. The title of the picture seemingly has no relevance to the picture itself.
I need this mod so badly now. I never managed to botain Emperor: Battle for Dune, so I haven't played since Dune 2000!
A huge shame.
Still, considering that FoK can be played online and that you can simply turn the AI on Insane it isn't a fundamental problem. It could have been a really awesome feature though.
Reminds me of a Rise of Legends Sun Jaguar. Looks cool!
HELL yeah. Time for another crusade, GLA scum. And this time we brought some new toys...
It's funny because nobody would be able to tell that this is the SAGE engine, of all things.
Eye of the storm, channeling the blazing fury of the sky for the Soviet hammer...
The 50,000 goals seem like the most interesting ones. I'm honestly not very taken with the 75,000 goals at all, nor the 25,000 ones. 50,000 is where it's at. Those sound amazing. :)
Wait what, they destroyed Rome? Okay, sorry Russia, but that's just wrong. I'm siding with ECA now.
The Rhino looks...too small to handle such a cannon. Perhaps give it some deployable support braces, like mobile constructrion cranes have?
Because just one havoc launcher isn't enough! :D
Actually, if anything Chaos is even fewer in numbers and even more elite than the loyalist marines, because of their individualistic nature and many centuries spent fighting in the Eye of Terror. The cultists sound about right though, they're just meatshields, distractions and sacrifices.
Also, Ork vehicles are, for the most part, anything but tough. They're ramshackle scrapyards on wheels that are prone to all sorts of malfunctions. This also would make them cheap though.
But that's just my two cents as a Warhammer 40K fan and regular tabletop player.
I LIKE. Can't wait to see what this'll turn into...
Once this is done, I'm going to Chaos-fanboy all over it, and then elaborately thank you guys.
HELL. YES. My second favorite mech, my favorite being the Star Adder.
SC wasn't the first to name a commando/stealth unit "Ghost".
Also, quite a lot of names here are 'ripped', but why would that matter so much? You have to admit that quite frankly a LOT of good names are already taken by someone for something.
On that note, if we're talking 'ripped' things we can talk about how Starcraft ripped off Warhammer 40K to make it's first game, and how Warhammer 40K ripped off pretty much everything else long before that.
I personally liked how the power plant was your greatest vulnerability, because without it defences shut down and production slows to a crawl. I can see how you'd want to use a population system though, RA3 matches are all about spamming units without a tweak like that.
Pleeeeeaaaaaase let the advanced AI become a reality...my only critique to FoK so far is that the AI doesn't know how to properly use all those new units, and with the advanced AI the final flaw would have been erased from the masterpiece, turning it into....sheer perfection....
