There's some weapons that don't have modern / custom version and Stechkin is one of them. There is a upgrade tree fix for those weapons so you can upgrade them as if they were.

I've always found a regular Stechkin in the crane near Skadovsk (where grouse's shack is) as a Recon.

Unnecessary amount of ultimate tedium.

First stalker game where pistols are actually viable, playing as pistol only Recon. Love the GP100, Desert Eagle, USP and M1911.

The Field cooking kit still does nothing.

Gamedata->Configs->Creatures->Actor and from there either "hit_probability" or "strike_immunity and "wound_immunity" to 0.0 values.

Patch makes the game a lot smoother.

Configuration->Game->Dynamic Crosshair, it's a small dot so it's quite hard to see if it works or not.

Not to mention the load times are nonexistent, even the first time load is fast!

Correction, regular Desert Eagle uses .357 and all others use old .45 ACP. Where do I find the weapon files for other typesof Desert Eagles to change ammo type?

All Desert Eagles still using .45 ACP ammo despite patch notes saying they had been changed to .357 and crash every time eguipping Steppe Eagle after ordering it from Nimble. New game after patch, Sniper.

WOW! The loading times are damn fast now. Also I found some "dangerous cave" east of "Burnt farmstead" where someone says "Leave here, man" when going near the entrance. Spooky!

After entering and getting the auto save there, dying and trying to reload any save I get X-Ray Engine crash.

Hehe, just that there was no change to the GP100 which I know is too good. I greatly appreciate the patch, don't misunderstand.

Does this mean that the Desert Eagles are as good or even better than the GP100 now that they use .357 Magnum ammo? It's overpowered as hell against mutants.

Otherwise the patch looks great. Can't wait till the download is complete and I can play for real this time.
