(Ubisoft dubious of a modern Assassin's Creed)
Watch Dogs will do the trick, according to studio
Some of the most important people behind the Assassin's Creed series Asked yesterday up for a so-called AMA on the website Reddit, where they answered a lot of questions from eager fans. They could include disclosing the development of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag to next-gen consoles have been awesome, and that they do not currently have any plans for a sequel or immersion in the story of Connor - hero of Assassin's Creed III.
The possibly most interesting question that was answered revolved however, whether Ubisoft is considering pulling modern assassins into battle against the Templars again. Here they had to unfortunately disappoint those who hoped for a greater focus on today's world, and Black Flag-writer Darby McDevitt responded that they currently doubt that such a thing will pop up in future games: "I doubt we're going to create a modern Assassin's Creed. There are simply too many things we need to develop to make it seem credible that vehicle, vibrant, modern cities, a wide range of new weapons, etc."
He round out by saying that the modern aspect of Assassin's Creed enough just to continue as a backdrop for the story. The impending Watchdogs he alleges will make up for this statement, and we just need to wait until it launches in spring 2014.
Not a fan of the series TBH ((The Desmond arcs completely ruined it for me what a lame character)) But I find it hard to believe they won't at least do a civil war or WW1 or WW2 AC. I mean those three events are just ripe for the picking with this series.
I watched Loveys play through AC 3 and thought it brought a lot of cool things and we may be the only two who like Connor or Hathan so I am sad they won't follow him up.
Meh... Desmond's dead. I think, I haven't played AC IV yet so don't know for sure.
If you had followed the story right from the start you might have viewed things a little different.
AC3 was the most fricken horrible addition to the series yet. If you enjoyed that then you'd doubtless enjoy the others tenfold.
Umm actually I played the other Assasin's creeds..Desmond, space pope etc. Were still dumb...
I don't know why they had to add things like that when hey could easily just use only the history of the renniscance instead of some far fetched plot and lame characters from our time.
