Watch the first trailer from the advertised horror Outlast
A new game developer from Canada called Red Barrels Games has announced its first game, Outlast. Although the studio is completely unknown, they consist of veterans from Naughty Dog, Ubisoft and Electronic Arts with years of experience in the gaming industry.
Asylum
The developer's website they write among other things, that the people behind the studio has worked with franchises like Prince of Persia, Assassin's Creed, Army of Two, Splinter Cell and Uncharted. Red Barrels Studios first game, Outlast, a horror game that takes place in an abandoned asylum in Colorado. The player is a journalist who follows a tip that leads him to the asylum, where everything is not as it should be. Based on the trailer to judge, it looks like the developers have taken inspiration from mostly contained of horror games and movies.
