And I'll give you a hint as to why probably; Space Marine. Amusingly enough I love GW to death, but from the trailer I saw of Space Marine, -this- actually looked better!

Rest in Peace.

Anyone else find it funny that a AAA Grade Project get canceled, but pieces of crap like UT40k are allowed to continue because it doesn't pose a threat to them?

Dwarfs are NEVER fat. Infact if you look them up, the sheeting of their musculature is simply denser, and layed out in a different pattern. They aren't 'miniaturized' humans, while the organs are the same the structure isn't while the base principles of the muscles are the same; the layout, isn't.

So in reality, a 'frail' looking dwarf is a bit..odd, unless your going for LOTR, but we won't talk about that :P

Anyways, Great Job! Far better then anything I could've done.

Define 'viking' style, honestly do you even -know- who the vikings were as a culture outside of what hollywood & videogames have shown you? :P To be frank they lived in a civilized manner -similar- if not exactly the same to the early Anglo-Saxons for the most part.

On a more positive note;
Great job! Nice direction on the map, can't wait to play.

No problem man! It's a pain in the *** and I barely know how to do what I -did- correctly, and even then I learned through experimentation! Playing around is the best way to learn (for me), and this is still an amazing sculpt.

You know what I find amazing about the engine, is it simply *feels* like it was built from the ground up for devs./modders. The interface is simple and flows in a similar manner to most 3D applications, and it doesn't have the..technical, feel that Radiant and Hammer carry, while not feeling dumbed down and lackluster as some other engines do.

Just makes me wish I hadn't've blown the 60 on STO (that kinda, failed anyways..) and bought that NS2+Overgrowth doublepack xD

If I may make a recommendation; I understand its supposed to be some form of android, as such it needs an organic & inorganic feel, stiffening the edges around the 'pads'/'armor of the legs, and the central circle's walls (the one of the characters left side/viewpoint right side)could use a touch of it as well.

The collar feels like a space-helmet's locking collar, and I like that actually, after seeing the painting you did on the previous model I have no doubt you'll be able to pull that look off, but making it feel/seem more like a machined piece of metal, stiffening/pinching the edges down, and smoothing/flattening the stiff areas around the 'holes' you see there, would go a long way.

I know I'm no master at this, infact I'm far from even being able to do what you've done there I'm sure, but I took some time and highlighted areas that seem to need more refinement, *this is just my opinion remember*

I393.photobucket.com

If I may make a recommendation as well, the 'joining' area, between the 'collar' and the suit, look like poorly defined cables/tubes, might just be me but I'd love the look of two black, ribbed cables/tubes there.

I393.photobucket.com I used that for a Borg/Evil-Cyborg piece I worked on awhile back, simply adding the 'ribbing' you see there on the center, would make that joining area look amazing.

Hah bloody awesome, been playing it on/off, have to say one map (although I'm not sure of the name, I believe its Dig Site), is bloody huge @_@ Must be great with lots of players, but mostly I end up on Space Hulk (again, unsure about the map names, to lazy to check :P) and even then, its still huge amounts of fun.

Planning on bringing this to the next lanparty I head to, see if I can get some more people hooked on it :D Would be amazing with tightly trained teams on both sides.

Although I'd love to see Apothecary & Techmarines, and of course Genestealers & Hormagaunts...although I suppose how its setup now, the warrior plays like what I'd imagine a Gaunt would....

But hey, love the mod, keep it up!

Well considering the choices, and my, avid love-affair with the Dragunov AND M14, I am torn :(

But to be honest, lets be fair, unless an individual owns a private military store-house, or raids a national guard depo, (or lives in Michigan here in the states xDD) they won't own the M14. The R700 on the other hand, has a Civi Reincarnation called the Varmint (I believe) and I've actually fired that weapon afew times, its a medium/large game weapon. However.

If I was fighting off hordes of the parasite-controlled-masses, I'd want the good ol' Henry 1860 .44 Slug. Hell, I believe it was intentionally designed to -be- interchangable (ammo wise) with a .44/.45 Peacemaker, so, there's a hint for ya on my opinion with Pistols too :P

..well I personally love the OTs33 for pistols BUT that's a different story. Bottom line, Number 1/Henry 1860 (Or is it a Winchester? XD)

Btw is Number 4 a Nagant or Kar98? Can't tell, eyes must be going >>;

I disagree, while NeoTokyo is bloody amazing, your talking of two different styles, and they shouldn't be compared.

While they are both of the source engine, a Dystopian (Its not just a game people, its a word :P) Tokyo set in a 30+ Years distant future, can't be compared to a world that, to be frank feels like Bioshock meets STALKER, and in a very, very good way.
