An update, I've even tried playing it with one of the normal characters and I'm having the same problem.

Hey, I was just wondering if I could have some help as I downloaded this mod as instructed and whenever I try to go onto the free form campaign it just crashes (no message it just cancels the program) just to let you know as well the custom battles work fine if that helps?
