Every time I check out your updates guys, something urges me to launch your teaser demo immediately, and blast some frakkin' toasters... ;)
Great work as usual! :-)
Thanks for all the remarks and comments. We greatly appreciate them, as they clearly show what are those aspects (among others... :-)) on which we should focus...
The HUD, the weapon models and the reflections are all constantly under development to make sure that everything looks and feels as authentic as possible. ;)
I have just downloaded Synergy and updated it to version 1.0. Well, you guys have made an excellent job - I like coop games, and nowadays there aren't so many released... So I really respect the work you have done so far.
Anyway, I'm writing this comment because I also have a problem with the mod: namely, the enemy NPCs are way too strong for two people - I play the game only with my bro' on LAN, and the large masses of enemy zombies always kill us because of their greater health.
Are there any console commands that could change the health of the enemy monsters, or boost the damage given by us? I have already checked your website with no luck...
Thanks in advance for your help, and keep up the good work! :-)
"Due to a mix up on the web, we have been openly accused of hacking the Star Wars mod First Strikes website at Firststrikemod.com
I would like to assure everyone that this is not so. Yes, you will see a lovely pic of Kirk and Spock at this site and a re-direct to our main website. Since I have not been able to contact xEROhOUR yet (the mod leader of this mod), I have done some research and have been reading on the forum at their new site (http://www.fsmod.com/) that xEROhOUR is no longer the mods leader but he still owns the old domain name. Thus, as a kind gesture of support for our mod, as he has been watching this mod and has always given encouraging comments and critic, xEROhOUR placed this redirect on the old domain, not us and the site HAS NOT BEEN HACKED.
Even though this has not been said by xEROhOUR yet, I am sure he will confirm this at his earliest convenience."
Thank you, Orion! :-)
I have just checked the profile of SEW and done the same - your Atlantis is really stunning, not to mention the detailed corridors of the Cheyenne complex...
Our team wishes you too all the best for the competition! ;-)
The Mirror Universe will not be featured in the mod, but this model will be part of a Bonus Pack that would contain all the models, sounds and scripts we have done. This would help everyone in making their own mod/addon for E:TCW. :-)
Although I need some time to get used to the new appearance of the site, not to mention the smaller glitches I experience from time to time (f.e. buttons occasionally disappear then reappear), I think that you have done a great job so far. Many new features look promising, even if they are far from working always as intended.
Anyway, I second Deathman in his complaint. I always used Enter when I searched for mods or logged in. Unfortunately it does not work right now. Fixing it would make the portal more comfortable to use.
Problem is solved.
The + button that has not appeared earlier now appears without problem. I contacted the mod leader, and asked him to remove me from the group and add me again. ;-)
I am the PR guy of the Star Trek Enterprise: Temporal Cold War (E:TCW) team, and member of the LightSpeed Design group.
I'm writing this comment because I am unable to post any news or images to the mod's profile. The + sign which is present in my Account is missing in the E:TCW profile, although CaptainSource, the mod leader, has already added me to the devteam.
Can you help me and explain how to post stuff (news, images, videos etc.) to a mod profile?
Thanks in advance for your help and understanding! :-)
Work is going on slowly but steadily (as usual).
But because of the heavy interference of the thing called "real-life" in the last month (that is, in October) we haven't managed to gather as much media that would qualify as a Media Update.
Therefore, we have decided to delay the 18th Media Update. But as a compensation, we will try to present more media in the upcoming release! ;)
Sorry for the double-post, I just missed SinKing's comment so far... :)
@SinKing: The funny thing is that we do not have any "design document". We plan and design the mod's direction during Skype chat events, and regularly discuss certain aspects of the mod in our forum's developer section.
Our FAQ contains every important question and answer that could arise in an inquirer. But if you are interested in something which is not mentioned in it, we are more than happy to answer your questions in our forum's E:TCW Hotline.
The mod is still work-in-progress, so we would prefer not to release any part of it right now... Models included... ;)
But as soon as the mod will be finished, we will release a Bonus Pack along with it that would contain the mod's source code, maps, sound, music and of course its models too... ;)
At this time, no.
Although E:TCW is a total conversion, it is still a modification based on HL2 - not to mention that Valve would probably disallow using their engine to develop the mod into a free standalone product. ;)
Thanks for your remark! :)
The map and the models are still Work-In-Progress, we are trying to make them as realistic as possible with the actual build of the Source Engine. :)
@Xyius: You (and of course everyone) are invited to join our forum. We need every suggestion and remark what an ENT-fan could give us. :)
@battelboy: We are planning to implement an objective-based multiplayer mode, although we think that the Enterprise-series is primarily about the characters and good stories. Therefore, our highest priority right now is to create a strong single-player mode with high replayability. Nevertheless, we are always brainstorming on the exact attributes of the multiplayer mode. ;)
Well, it is not planned right now as the mod is planned to be set in the regular ST-universe. But having the bonus pack in your hands, it is not a hard thing for a talented texture artist to modify the existing NX-01 model and decks to have a "Terran-Empire" paint job.
Of course, the character models are another story...
Well, to answer your question: As soon as possible. Most of the mapping and the models have been done, but there are heaps of scripts to be coded, and sounds to be recorded. We would like to release the Teaser Demo within a few months, but I would prefer not to give an exact date at the moment... ;-)
Awesome... Really awesome. I play this mod with my brother in Coop through LAN... and it worth every megabytes.
Keep up the good work! ;)

Nice work so far! :-)
I hope that your boss is OK now... ;)
Well, that's true. We tried out only those and ForgottenEvil.
Thanks for your help, and again... Keep up the good work! :-)

You have got my vote, guys. Keep up the good work... ;-)
Thank you everyone for the kind words. It is the supportive community which keeps motivating us to produce this mod... ;)

Thanks for your comment. I guess that I don't give away too much if I tell you that a kind of "free roam" mode between missions will be implemented.
A fantastic mod for a fantastic series. Hopefully you guys will receive a ModDB award this year.
Keep up the good work! :-)

Shortly: We are alive and kickin'. ;)
Sometimes it happens that we get a server overload... But we are online again, so everyone is invited to visit our little community. ;)
Hey, Mechanix!
No, there should not be any marks, as the phase pistol did not leave any marks on objects in the series. ;)
Good to hear that! ;)
