Great is the mystery that surrounds Joe Johnson.
I received the creator's permission to review Zombie Master in its beta form. We get bitched out so often for covering a beta mod in progress that we are rather shy to do it anymore.
We will, even.
Oh man, this looks awesome. I'd reinstall Vice City for this in a heartbeat.
Sounds nifty, I'll have to check it out.
He looks like he's saying "Yo yo, whazzup, bro?!"
Awesome job though.
When I posted this news update, only four people in 5 pages of entries had created a piece of ModDB promo art. Trust me on this, I had to go through the thread copy pasting all of the names off.
Where'd 'ya get Dannigirl from, angel eyes?
Yes you do need UT2004, since it's a UT2004 mod.
But, but, it's a preview....
The D'ni letters and numbers are a very nice touch.
Hate to break it to you, but nothing is around that next corner.
Atmospheric horror games are awesome. I'm a huge Silent Hill fan and I've been totally freaked out by System Shock 2 on a dozen occasions. Just because I didn't find F.E.A.R.'s "let's put in a spooky scene, then kill guys for a half hour" mentality flawed, doesn't mean I'm any less fit to review it.
That makes no sense. If anything, I blamed it for not being what it could be, when it's little more than an adventure game with a fancy engine.
Don't post the same thing in two seperate sections of the forum.
Still looking to visit someone's Animal Crossing town?
Holy freaking ****. That Cathedral-esque screen shot is probably one of the coolest things I've seen come out of the Doom 3 engine.
I'll definitely be watching this.
Damn, those look fantastic.
Looks awesome. Downloading now. Features to possibly be written soon!
As I already said elsewhere,
That first concept image there looks amazing.
-_- You know, I meant that to be a PM...
Once you guys get something playable going in this new build, let me know. I'd love to write you guys up an awesome preview.
If possible, I'd also like to see a skip back to the free roaming camera after dying, or at least letting that be an option. The security cameras are cool, but I always miss the action and find myself pretty bored watch them.
Downloaded, playing, and liking it quite a bit.
I'll try to review it in the next few days or so.
OMG PWNZORZ 1 F0UND U!!!1!!one!11!
Wrath of Malachi was an interesting game.
We are already starting on the next one, so, turn around time on these should be pretty damn consistent.
Haha, I think he means, "Who won the match discussed in the review?"
The answer of which I can't even remember. I want to say we, the Green Army, did, but I can't recall for the life of me.
You just posted something and aren't on MSN?
lol, we might, but I don't follow music much.
Doesn't make your comment any less funny, though.
Whoa, I want one of THOSE!
Hahahahaha, I love your entry with Dr. Strangelove. Very well done.
Your poem entry was great! Hahaha.
I think your Defon entry is pretty good, actually.
Very funn. :p
It's a joke, sweetie. Get with the program.
That promo image you posted is awesome.
You should zip that over to Vicky, Introversion Software's PR rep.
Energy drinks are for wussies.
I drink Koolaid with extra sugar, baby.
Padman looks amazing. I'm half tempted to buy another copy of Quake 3 Arena just for it.
In the article or in life?
At the time of the article, you were currently being detained in the ModDB Underwater Facility, off the coast of Japan. Thus, unavailable for comment.
in life, you are currently debating the chewiness of your after dinner fortune cookie, wondering if you remembered to take the fortune, hopefully a good one, out before consuming it.
The UK Headquarters of ModDB have never been found, because Stuffie possesses a secret power he learned in the Orient to cloud men's minds, and utilizes it night and day to keep them protected.
So it's a damn good thing no women ever come 'round looking, or the jig is up!
You get your name in a post when you regularly message the guy writing the article, of course.
Us? Turn a dime? Are you mad? :p
*doesn't remember the context for this*
Hey, if you get on MSN, I'll give you the feedback from different people.
Hahaha, I've had them for a while, buddy. Ever since Chop stepped down and I took over for real. It's probably been a few months...
If you don't mind, please make your entries in the competition into three separate posts. This way, there is less of a chance of you only being entered into only one hat.
Hat B is for Defcon Promo's. You may want to edit your post to reflect that, to keep from being accidentally dumped in the wrong hat.
Nope, it's the ever-elusive Lemony Snicket. As sad as it may be, I'm a big fan.
Sounds awesome, like a strategy oriented Crimson Skies.
Your comments made here: Moddb.com are really unnecessary and have been removed. Please avoid saying such things in the future.
Where, oh where, has my Stuffie gone?
WHERE, OH WHERE, CAN HE BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE?
He started it. I'm just sinking to his level.
Rambo, there isn't really any action in the game. It's more a creepy exploration game than anything else. It honestly has more atmosphere than F.E.A.R. does, since this game is consistently trying to scare you, whereas F.E.A.R. just did inbetween battles. That said, I didn't find the game very scary myself, but that doesn't mean you wont.
Give it a whirl.
The team liked my review. They even supported my reviewing it.
That said, I hope a giant eagle swoops down from the sky and kills you.
If I wasn't broke as all hell, I'd offer to buy it and mail it to you if you paypaled me. Every Target store around where I live has it on clearance for about $13.
And, really, that's about all I'd recommend paying for it. It's fun in the sense that you can kick guys off of ledges and make chandeliers swing across the room and send some poor bloke flying, but thats about the extent of it. The plot is pretty asinine and predictable and from what little I've played, I went through about a third of the game, meaning it has got to be terribly, terribly short.
So, I don't know. Download and play the demo. If it blew you away, rush out and buy it. If it seemed kind of half hearted, either wait until it is cheap or skip it altogether, because the demo basically highlights everything good about it.
Oh for the love of cake almighty.
If you actually took the time to look at that zombie mod I supposedly run, you'd see that I'm listed as a "Voice Actor" on it. More specifically, I did some rewrites to the radio dialog used in it as a favor to another staff member. My voice isn't actually in it at all. I don't run it, I don't know much about it and my involvement is absolutely minimal at best. I don't even know what the bloody thing looks like.
I rather resent all of the accusations that I had it in for this mod and have no business reviewing it if I'm not a huge Postal fan. If you'll look at Eternal Damnation's feature listing, you'll notice that the only other written article about it on the site is an interview I conducted with the team over a year ago when I first started writing on this site. No one else on staff really cares about it that I'm aware of, but I wanted to promote it then and I snatched at the opportunity to review it when I heard it got released. I've been following this mod for quite a long time and have been anticipating it greatly, but I'm also not going to let that hype create an unfair bias towards what I perceive to be a lackluster final product.
But, why even bother defending myself? If you think I cheated, didn't finish it, hate everything Postal and refuse to enjoy any zombie mods that aren't specifically made by my own two hands, then alright. I still stand by what I wrote. If you stand by your mod, that's awesome, I totally respect that, but don't try to discredit me just to further your own agenda.
lol, your welcome.
You know, if you changed your name to "Jack", you could kick terrorist ***.
Not that I watch that show.
