As a Marine, I've only seen them stamped Ontario. To humor you, here's a website with the history of the M9. M9bayonet.com

It's an m9 bayonet not a KaBar.

The forward assist is there to completely close the bolt if it doesn't close all the way. When you need to, you hit it with the palm of your hand and a rod-like thing will catch on to some teeth that are on the bolt and push it forward so it is properly seated.

Maxx is correct. I'm in the Marine Corps and they issue foregrips for the M16 weapon system. You have an option to use it, though, or use a different kind of foregrip.

The Saiga is semi automatic not automatic.

Well the dinosaur also didn't spit any type of venom, either. That's been admitted to be creative license from Jurassic Park. In that sense it's already not a perfectly realistic representation of the creature, and that is perfectly fine considering games need a certain degree of fantastical elements to make them fun.

This far. Also, I don't know if these are things being worked on, but you should be able to see the inside of the breech from that angle even if it's for a split second, and it looks as though the hammer is at a half cocked position. If it's fired from double action the hammer shouldn't be cocked and each consecutive shot will be in single action. If the first shot is single action the hammer should be fully cocked.

It doesn't look like the slide goes back far enough.

I assume he's talking about how the rear of the weapon is in focus and everything else is blurry. Technically the front sight of the weapon is what's supposed to be in focus, but this isn't real life so what looks good is what's better.

Personally, I think the left arm is positioned in an awkward position. It seems uncomfortable to hold up your forearm when holding the front end of the weapon like that.

It still needs a rear sight.

Rear sight?

I disagree. The majority of civilians I know are aware of the difference. They're usually the ones who get most annoyed when people say "clip" when referring to a magazine, too.

I don't know what kind of guns you shoot, but smoke definitely comes out of the barrel of my m16, and all of my personally owned weapons for that matter. Pistols or rifles.

You underestimate modern weaponry ;) I've seen plenty of pistols coated in mud and all sorts of nasty crud that have been able to operate after wards. The amount of dried blood that would be on that pistol would not be enough to jam it.

I had the exact sentiments as dafatcat when looking at this picture. It looks more like a guard is overseeing prisoners during a jog or something. I would re-do this picture with a more accurate stance. For example, as a Marine I am taught to keep the rifle in my shoulder, press the magazine release with the index finger of my right hand, and with my left hand, grab and insert a full magazine and then (depending on the situation) press the bolt release. All the while remaining in the correct stance (think linebacker). Bend your knees slightly, keep your back straight, feet shoulder width apart, slightly lean forward, and keep your shoulders square to the target. If you changed the model of that soldier to an action pose in the process of a correct reload, this would be a lot better.

Thanks, bloody, lowcap magazines would be awesome. Unfortunately, I fear this mod will lack anything airsoft specific, so it would be better of as a shooter utilizing your ideas. From how it seems now, the focus is more on game play, and it seems like you're calling it an airsoft game just for the sake of calling it an airsoft game. Personally, I believe it would be a lot better as a shooter that uses all of your game play ideas. Make a game with bullet drop and windage, as well as different bullet weights that fly further so you have to think about each shot. Make players get to know the capabilities of their guns. You could have your "think before you shoot" tactics in a normal shooter, and personally, I think it would look a lot cooler with bullet effects, too.

Thanks Darkstorn, people don't realize that they're not helping the development team at all by giving them ultimate praise. It's not like I'm bashing the mod, either. A good dev team listens to criticism and improves their game based on what people say. By telling the developers that they have a perfect mod, you're doing more harm than good. I'm curious to see whether or not this game will overcome the many inherent flaws an airsoft video game has. Some things I definitely want to see, if the devs decide to finish this, is a choice of what kind of magazines to use. Unfortunately, people like myself use lowcap magazines because reloading in a firefight is fun. You can't emulate that in a videogame, but having a choice between high caps and midcaps would be nice. Maybe have the high caps rattle when you walk around. I'd also like to see a very accurate customization system for the weapons. The ability to pick different gear sets, motors, barrels, hop up systems, etc., as well as various aesthetic aspects would be pretty cool, and would give someone an incentive to keep playing to gain money. Even with all of that, I'd still rather go outside and airsoft then come back inside and play a shooter than play an airsoft video game. I'll just keep giving suggestions so that those who want to play it have an accurate experience.

Paintball games do (sort of) well because paintball equipment is unique. Airsoft guns look exactly like real guns, so this will basically be the same as any shooting game except that the guns will look boring when they shoot, as will the people who get shot. You might as well just make a super realistic shooter set in CQB situations, though realistic games are niche games still because that's not what the majority of gamers want to play. I've talked to a lot of members of the airsoft community, and even they say they don't think an airsoft game will fare well. I still wish you good luck, though. I'm just warning you that there isn't a lot of demand for an airsoft game.

Meh, a simulation of a simulation sounds pretty bland. As someone said before, people play video games to pretend to shoot real bullets, and people play airsoft to as a military simulation. Most of a game's appeal comes from the visuals, too. Would you rather shoot a guy and see blood fly everywhere, or would you rather see a guy raise his hand and walk off the field. Honestly, this is probably going to be a very niche game that a lot of people won't play. I'm an avid airsofter myself, and one thing I already don't like about this mod is that you reload using the mouse wheel to simulate a high cap. I, and a ton of people who airsoft, absolutely hate high caps. I would hope you would have an option to use normal or mid cap magazines, but right now this game just sounds like it would be better off as a tactical shooter with no blood.
