whats the recommended way to play this? should I merge it with any other mods? or just pure?
No, but I dont think blindly sticking to this narrow and limited kind of design is the way to go. You will end up having your 50-100 people play and get excited about the same tank rush over and over again but for an eager player like me the game will leave things to be desired. Such as variety. I love the **** out of CnC and I played it competetively, however I never thought Renegade was very good to begin with. I did enjoy A Path Beyond occasionally, but yeah. Its fun in its own way, but ultimately all the limitation bores me. Just my 2 cents... sorry. Maybe I am just sore cuz of the recent loss for C&C (or win considering how ****** it was) and will change my mind if I try it.
Tiberium Wars is one of the best command and conquers, sorry. Ranked right next to the classics Tib Dawn and Red Alert 1st gen.
If this game will still have the one-dimensional "1 gun per vehicle and player with unlimited ammo" (ye i know some guns dont have unlimited but still) mechanics, I will get bored really quickly of this... This could be a lot better and more complex. Tanks could have a machinegunner.. directional armor.. more than 1 slot.. you should be able to choose between more than the default secondaries.. no guns should have unlimited ammo. Infantry ammo should have to be replenished in base, tank ammo slowly over time with max capacity of like 20-30, much like BF.
I mean sure its fun for a while.. but after some days, camping behind a rock, shooting unlimited rockets at a tall building to get money gets really boring.

I know in vanilla t2 there was a rare legendary (golden.. not highest tier, I know) berserker set that gave like 40% lifeleech :D:D:D but yeah.. only as a set..
I loved that one so much.. there are bloodstone attachments that give like 100hp on hit.. but that is NOTHING unless you wield a polearm and hit 10 creeps at once.. which seems subpar on berserker.
I think an engine swap might be appropiate but as said even with a new engine Maxx and the others would need a lot more time, money and a much bigger team (probably) to create something of this size :D Cant think of a fitting engine off the top of my head now though.
Just reposting this here.. imagine the devs had the ressources of an EA or Activision.
Right now there is DayZ which brings everything to a great scale.. but it has no exciting urban environments whatsoever... houses are far spread out, pale and boring inside..
Now imagine something like NMRIH, but in a city the size of London, with freelancing, hundreds of players, objectives, households, random events like CPU handled police convoys. One can dream.

the problem I have with the wall is not the wall itself but the transition from wall to ground. it does not look realsitic, more like the wall is a cardboard that has just been placed there.
its dead I guess :/ not enough support / interest from community

oh and to be precisely some of the interior in the house had the pink checker board texture, like a cable hanging on the wall. only small things. is there a known fix or cause to this problem?
it was one of the new levels, I believe the one with the house in the middle like cabin. hardware 8.1, software 9.0 dx level, hdr on full. bloom disabled, everything else on high I think.
deleting the config folder helped solve the annoying ticket problem, but now I have wierd pink checker board textures on some smaller objects? any fix to that? I just downloaded the fresh full 1.03 and installed it, previously deleting everything I had from nmrih.

no it doesnt, its perfectly fine. I can run around one-hitting zombos with an axe all day err'day. well, some take more than one hit to the head though.
this mod is so much fun! can hardly wait for more maps and improvements. the level of detail in the maps is amazing.
I dont know why you guys have so many problems, my game runs flawlessly for hours with -dxlevel 81.

So far I cant even start the mod :( sometimes it starts with no sound, other times the sound is lagging, and everytime it crashes at 70% on the loading screen. gonnna elobarote a post in the bug report forums
