Started working on Birthstar:Frontline (which morphed into Talon-5 by the looks of things) but before then I moved on to doing textures for Black Mesa:Source. Now a prop modeller and skinner for Black Mesa.
I'd like to see some companies, real games companies, take a step into the modding community. Moddb has made the first step by adding all the major consoles on the website but now we need to see action from commercial developers.
What they should do is offer people at the mod community the chance to work on small downloadable games that will go out for free or for the price of the download bandwidth on all the major consoles.
Only the 360 is currently set up for easy and affordable game creation for bedroom coders. I expect to see a few appear there over the next year using Game Studio 2.0 and XNA. The Wii is probably the most exciting indie game console to develop for, but also amongst the hardest to gain access to. I think if some small games from big companies can make an appearence here for the Wii and PS3 then these barriers could be lowered.
Are you a 3D artist? Are you looking for some inspiration? Do you just want to collaborate or know who your fellow ModDB artists are? Doesn't matter what...
A group for the people of The United Kingdom on ModDB. Jolly good isn't it?
The team behind the infamous, long awaited Black Mesa mod and game.
Making games primarily for Android, iOS and Blackberry Playbook. Will also look at Windows, Mac, Linux, Flash and Web versions of all games.
