As far as picking your own color schemes go, perhaps you can combine an RGB color picker with a selection of colors, similar to the army painter in Dawn of War if I remember right. There'd be an area for commonly used colors, and then a spectrum. This way people can have some more tweaking with their colors.

For weapon's visual effects, it depends on how visually different they already are, such as cannon rounds being longer etc., along with the sound effects for each. You might be able to tell if a cannon is being fired by those two indicators, and so room for players to customize projectiles would be super awesome!

As a huge fan of the X3 series, I like the change in your galaxy's layouts. It should be a lot more simple and engaging with one less layer to worry about. I love the jump gates,the menu, it's all great. Thanks for the update! :)

DnB tribute to Steve Jobs I made not long ago. Uses audio samples from one of his last speeches along with piano and machine gun bass drums to create a pretty unique sound. It's a banger if you have good bass speakers!

The problem forrepublicatwar is that the market for "Die hard fans" is smaller than mainstream fans. It will always be more profitable for them to stick with what the basic fans want rather than us guys who are all into the EU and the canon. It's a sad fact but at least we will always have books and even games to turn to :)

You can use XML alongside LUA. Makes it easier for modders too, since XML takes literally no coding knowledge to work with (as a modder)

Loving the mod, just have a quick question about the pirates: Do the pirates respawn? This is just a general gameplay question really, I was just wondering if I fend off enough pirate attacks if they'll just start getting weaker and weaker?
I would keep a giant fleet on the planet the pirates seemed to attack me at every time and completely annihilate the pirate fleet, but they'd send another one during the next raid of near equal strength. Just curious in case I should stop trying to turtle the pirates.
