Level Designer/Game Designer Working with UDK/CryEngine 3/Unreal Engine 4. Storming ideas right now, looking to have some good news pretty soon. I'm 25% Irish, I'm also a musician, computer wiz, and a father. I'm seeking contacts who can model assets, rig and skin. I need help with the assets and welcome equal partners. I'm currently pretty good with level design. Add me, and PM if your interested in working together. Action, survival, RPG's, and FPS preferred, but not set in stone.

Have you been to the forums yet? It might be an issue with FBX importing or an export setting in blender. There may be a toggle for solid mesh or something similar to the way static meshes worked in UDK. I'm just getting started with UE4 so the forum is probably your best bet for help.

Have you joined the forum and looked for help there? There are always people online and if it's something a lot of people are having issues with there may be a solution already. If not you can get it to someone at Epic who can help out.

Ugh, I love you guys, I really do, and I will always follow this game. It's shaping up to be amazing, but I really stopped giving a damn about these updates when NPC's and the Metagame were promised and promised and promised and now have been sidelined for the 3rd or 4th time. It's been more than a year guys!

Anyway, rant over, sorry about that but I had to blow sometime. Love the work that you guys are doing and the builds are working out great on my machine. I hope you keep the dedication going till the end. It's still a fantastic game.

Your loyal and always criticizing supporter ;)
J.

P.S. I backed this game from the start so it's been a long ride for me. It's been a hell of an evolution, and you guys have come from practically nothing to this. So please don't take my criticism as hate.

Currently at 5 days and 20 hours, and boy has it been a struggle. Random zeds setting off house alarms is the worst. Woke up and went outside to find about 200 of them just standing around my front porch. O_0

Eh, we can't blame a game for being incompatible when none of this stuff existed back then. I think the travel speed and monster spawn on the over world was tied into your CPU's clock speed! Make's traveling on the world map almost impossible with an x64 quad core without some kind of a patch, I think even the HD patch buggers the UI though.

Might as well set it to run in compatability mode for 95 or ME, run it in 16bit color depth, and turn the resolution back down to 800*600 or 1024*768.

There are some patches out there that fix A LOT of story and NPC stuff that just glitched out of the game though.

I love how a lot of the great games now are going back to the old school graphics. It shows everything that I cherish about games. It's not the flashy graphics, it's the gameplay. Take that AAA brands!

They will most likely just support third party engines and tools for development. I highly doubt they will go through another generation of their own framework. There are already a couple of engines out there that support XBLA/XBLI.
