Finished the second view of the pad, also uploaded to the gallery. With this piece, the concepts of the pad is finished, I think. This time everything started really complex, with a lot of confusion about linework, but after I've restarted and thought about using more of a layer-system and actually name each layer, my workspeed fastened up dramatically. Really pays off to make some pre-thinking before starting in this case.

In addition with that, this will be the last update with this blog. Next steps will get an own blog.

I just finished one concept, you can have a look at it in my gallery. Did take many hours to realize actually, but I finally made it and it's about 98-99% accurate. I will do another one of that, but with the whole fishtank, standing on all 4 pads. So complex when you're a starter, but I think it's gonna get a lot faster and more intuitiv over the years.

Worked some more on it and watched some perspective training DVD stuff and I think I can get it into perspective now, but I'm too tired at the moment, will do that tomorrow.

... on my art class project!

For about 4 hours I'm already working on sketches and measurements for the project. When I started working, a damn accident happened. I bought a fish tank, it's the main part of the project and today I accidently pushed a glassbox off the table and it fell exactly onto the fish tank. Now, one side of the tank has a fracture, I hope to get it covered with plants in the end, otherwise I will have to improvise with my explanation of the "wanted break" in the glass.

I'm currently letting my head explode about how to get the groundplane of the project into 2-point-perspective properly. It's getting more complex than I thought, but it's a good training. I definitely underestimated perspective, it's pretty hard, actually.

Here are two links of the sketches:

You probably don't understand them and have no idea what do with them, but with those links, the blog doesn't feel so naked ;)

stay tuned~
