The time went by really fast and now christmas has come. My gift for you is my new blogdesign that comes with a new funtion. You can now easily go through all my blogs and don't have to invest as much effort as before. I hope you like the new feature and design of it.
I'm also planning on doing a review for the year of 2010 within the next week.
Today, I've also joined modteam behind Asylum (a horror adventure game) and I hope to do some cool concepts for them. I really like the story behind it and you really should check it out and track it, I think it's going to be good.
Other than that nothing too much happened since the last blog, I still have a couple of animals to color for the concept papers, but I'm not too motivated for that. Maybe I just skip the coloring and only show you some edited linework, it's kinda cool, too.
Merry Christmas to every reader and tracker of my work!
stay tuned~
Well merry christmas to you too ;). Just looked up asylum now, looks pretty sweet i'll definitely start tracking that. Hopefully you can add some really cool stuff to it :). I do have a question though, how did you go about approaching the team to work on their mod? just interested because i might start scoring some later.
I do get asked to work for teams every once in a while and I usually don't accept the request, but I like the story behind the game and so I'm giving it a try. On the other teams I've joined in the past, I usually got a response from the forums, where I started a thread. I think that this is the best method to join a team.
thanks for the advice ;)
Very welcome!
You can also find mod teams looking for help in the Jobs section here on ModDB: Moddb.com
iQew is correct; Most teams will be flattered by your interest in a project, as long as you remain fairly humble. If you want to approach a team, to ask if they need someone like you, creating something custom for your application is often a great idea, for a couple of reasons.
* You prove dedication and understanding of the project
* You authenticate yourself as the creator, seeing as it is original content.
* You seem professional and ready.
If you are applying on a forum, it is often a good idea to get slightly integrated in the community and *definately* search out any information, regarding templates or procedures for applications.
I hope I've been to some help :)
