I am the founder of DBolical and creator of ModDB, IndieDB and SlideDB. My aim is to make it easier for gamers to find great games/mods no matter their stage of development. And more importantly give game/mod developers a place to share their work and grow their fanbase - without being dependent on press/editors gatekeeping the important news sites. If you have any ideas or suggestions, hit me up I am always available to talk with the community.

And we want to keep it that way, so at the moment advertising is the solution. So we are glad you appreciate the service, hopefully we can get ISP support from around the world and deliver even faster downloads.

Yeah valid points... i did actually think about this more having read these quotes and i tend to agree. Halo is something Microsoft values as apart of its X-BOX franchise and i expect they would be worried that the PC version will suck away gamers (espically online)

I dont believe deleting them is the best option, *in case* they do become active. They will virtually be deleted however as the mod will be hidden and you'll never know it existed.

I think that'll fix every problem as they wont distract from the real mods whilst still given the mod leaders the option to re-vive their mod

it is 1337 coding by me :devious: combined with a rather cool server config...

Basically to achieve that sorta thing you need an apache server with the module mod_rewrite installed.

Then what mod_rewrite does when used correctly is each time someone visits the modDB it converts the url www.moddb.com/mods/bodyguards to www.moddb.com/mods/?mod_id=13 and whola you have some neat URLs which are search engine friendly :D
