Grey fits well into those distortions of color and objects.

To be honest, the best urban pattern would be a mix of completely random, spontaneous shapes.

Yea, that could be a possibility.

My own vision of MEC is based on an alliance between Iran and Iraq (which isn't unlikely with Iraq's new government). They manage to annex Kuwait during the Sino-American war, and NATO finally gets involved when the MEC invade the UAE for its resources. Internal pressures eventually cause Syria and Oman to be accepted into the new state, giving MEC a full capability to invade Israel- The US is able to just barely support it's allies, using whats left of Israel and the Emirates as staging grounds for the war.

Meanwhile China is concerned about the rapidly growing power of the MEC...

Saudi Arabia, Russia, and Turkey manage to remain neutral.

In the western US it works great with the ground foilage and environments as well as those of Afghanistan.

Horrible pattern for most other environments though.

I know I'm coming across particular, and I'm well aware that AP isn't a realism mod, but the USMC doesn't use ACU and it's being phased out of the US Army. IRL marines use desert marpat in urban environments- it would suck if you had to change clothes every time you deployed somewhere different.

It's fantasy.

In reality, the defining moral choices are never black and white. Those choices are often irrelevant compared to the implications behind them. There are no satanic legions filing out of Morder just as there are no pure armies of elves.

Don't worry about video games interfering in your religion. People made them as entertainment, and if they feel like anything more than that, you should probably take a break from gaming for a while- chances are you're taking games far more seriously than your beliefs.

Barack Obama is going to be doing everything in his power to work around congress rather than through it.

Honestly, as bad as I think it is, I don't blame him. We're so factionalized now that our system of checks and balances has devolved into a system of vetos and filibusters. In order to bring any kind of change, the president has to start concentrating his powers.

Look, it's f*cked up, and my faith in government is at an all time low, but we have to understand that the American voters brought this on ourselves. Congressmen get re-elected because moderates only vote for their president (most people don't even KNOW we have mid-term elections)

If this continues, things will certainly be better in the short term, but in the long term, our government will centralize power more and more until we become fascists who vote as nothing more than a formality. There's a chance that it can still be reversed, but it's starting to look unlikely.

The most dangerous truth about conspiracy theories is that they have the potential to illegitimize real issues that can threaten us.

Conspiracy theories can be so ridiculous that they actually sway otherwise reasonable people into having an unhealthy trust for their government.

The limit of one's personal liberties should be at the point at which their actions directly harm others.

Not if their action can potentially harm others- they must actually be an 100% active danger to the general wellbeing of another.

In this case, it's obvious. Second hand smoke sucks for everyone. On public property it should be banned. The government has a right to spend taxpayer money to impede tobacco+drug companies, especially if the govt is providing a basic level of universal healthcare.

In western nations populations are already dropping. Its developing countries that are spawning the most people, and I'm sure once the quality of life and education levels go up in other parts of the world this will be less of an issue.

I've had similar experiences to those you've described while I was living in Europe. I have examples ranging from people telling me my country is run by malicious jews to saying the US invasion of Iraq was done to TAKE their oil. I had some random kid come up to me and say "I hate Americans" (causing a bit of a fight) at an indoor pool without any kind of provocation. Even though these incidents were rather frequent, at that age I knew that these people don't represent the majority of Germans or Europeans for that matter- I had to take these as isolated incidents, and I could see how that could be harder to do when observing the US after a lot of the problems we've caused in the past.

Having experienced the American education system, I can honestly say that it gets a bad rep and while it ins't particularly good, it isn't that bad either. I took both US and European history as well as AP government in high school. These classes were actually very informative and had clear bias (which is a good thing). I'll admit we have problems in our education system, but that's to be expected- we have individual states trying to meet federal standards with different funding/methods. Education can differ from state to state and even precinct to precinct. You can't expect any education system to be as thorough as that of a smaller, more manageable European state.

The US is also not bordered with any European nations, so it's actually unfair for you to expect us to understand politics overseas when none of it really effects us- In Europe, things are so interconnected between the states that understanding the other cultures, languages, and politics of your neighbors becomes necessity.

In short, a vast majority of Americans are critical of our government. You really aren't alone, those nationalistic 'muricaheads drive everyone crazy, the majority of Americans included.
