You can try running without opengl 2.1 if you want, just open the file C:\Users\Name\AppData\Roaming\ ZombieGrinder\cfg\ZombieGrinder.ini and in the graphics section add the following line;

ignorecheck=1

That will bypass the opengl version check, but I can't promise its going to run well below that version.

It won't. ZG requires a dedicated graphics card, netbook will not cut it I'm afraid.

Error is pretty self-explanatory. It means your graphics card dosen't support opengl 2.1 and above, which is required by the game.

libfmodex is not currently included in the desura dependencies list so it's bundled in with the game in the /libs/ folder. Just put it in the appropriate place

Yup. Game currently requires a constant internet connection. It's not meant to be played single player.

The master server deals with a lot of stuff required to make the game fully work (eg. certain items in the inventory)

Be aware, that the sdk is not officially supported until closer to release. Reasons being we may change map formats or similar things that could break mods you make.

You already asked this :3. If you still can't get it working make a post in the forum. Chances are there is something else with your internet connection blocking the connection.

Something is likely blocking the connection then. Anti virus? Firewall? ISP, etc?

lol, in development, haven't even thought about doing guides yet.

Stats though, generally one full bar = x2 of that stat, so it's only a gentle increase, I may increase it in future though. If you reach the level cap (I would be amazed if you did lol) you get enough points to fill all bars exactly half way. So choose where you spend points :3

What are you computer specs? Sounds like the game can't keep up with running a server and client at the same time.

As for NAT, that just determines if outside people can join your games. portforward.com for info.

Depends on platform, it goes in the appropriate folder on each. Windows its in C:\Users\{name}\AppData\Roaming\ZombieGrinder, linux it's {HOME}\ZombieGrinder, macos it's the application support folder who's path I cannot remember.

portforward.com - TCP&UDP - Port depends on what you are hosting on - you can find the default port by looking in cfg\ZombieGrinder.ini under network:port (sorry, can't remember it offhand).

Yeh, got to think of a new standalone update system now. DLLs can't be updated by a program that hosts them >_>. Disabed the update until I can think of a way around this.

Added some warnings about this at the start of the game (rather than just dumping out). Should warn you if it can't initialize the graphics context correctly and why.

Make some then :3. Not many people have open NAT's, and we don't have a huge amount of players, so there aren't always open ones.

We're not ignoring it, functionality is in there, and was originally used, we don't like it and don't feel it fits the game, hence why it was removed. Not to mention it goes against the main idea we had behind the control scheme, namely a one-to-one mapping with a controller.

And the comment was more made as a joke :P, I was just referring to how awkward it would be firing with the mouse button and moving/strafing with the arrows and shift lol.
