The game already is moddable. 256 player servers will not be though. The game isn't optimised for that level of players, god only knows how that would work out, especially with people hosting on residential connections.
The only time when it's realistically useful is for the feature me and jordan or sorting out, more info soon ;3
Read the comments man :3. This was an example video after like a couple of hours coding lol, it's meant to show underlying coding, not an actual boss :P
Annnd, that should be done now :3
That's where your profile file is stored on vista and win7 :)
Couple of people have made some map and weapon mods, but generally no.
Nothing, I didn't really expect it to work :S.
The game uses a lot of graphics features that are not present on integrated cards, nothing really you can do, sorry!
It's roaming. I just put a space in there because this comment software dosen't allow long works.
The install directory will do nothing. You need to modify the appdata file;
C;\Documents And Settings\YOUR_USER_NAME\Application Data\ZombieGrinder\cfg\ZombieGrinder.ini
If your on XP.
Sure your doing it in the config file at the path I provided and NOT the one in the cfg\ folder in the install directory (which is only a default file).
What I just explained will removed the check that produces that error, try it.
You can try disabling the opengl check if you want, but even if it does work it probably won't work every well.
Open that and put this line in the graphics section;
Hardware accelerated 3D rendered with an orthogonal projection.
The fact that it's viewed as 2D is entirely irrelevant when it comes to hardware requirements.
Yeh looking at at the spec's that should be fine. I'll have a look into it when I'm back from work.
Odd though, there is only really one way to interpret the error, it's when opengl is failing to allocate the FBO using for rendering.
Can you post a forum thread please so I can keep track of this.
*sigh* Guess I'll give up asking people to post in forums >_>
Integrated graphics cards are not supported, so even if you got it running it won't likely progress very far.
I assume as your running on linux that you have installed the appropriate dependencies for the executable?
Computer stats, reason why it dosen't start, etc.
"Dosen't start" is a useless and gives nothing to go on :S
The reason I ask you to post in the forums is its easier to keep track of issues.
Desura.com Post details in forum please.
It is a development build - optimization is the last thing we are worried about at the moment. That will be dealt with further down the line.
As with all graphics issues, can you give system stats? That sounds almost certainly like your graphics card is below par.
Your graphics card probably dosen't support what the game is using in that case. What are your system specs?
No, the other coloured one was meant as a server-controlled one. One that no users can move around.
Yeh they are, not sure why. *pokes desura staff into fixing*
Can't :3. In-case I decide to place turrets around the maps that players can pickup and move.
Just going to disable infinite-ammo for them lol.
Pretty much what I expected, sorry! Game kinda does need gl 2.1!
That news article is not relevant anymore.
At what point exactly does it 'seize up'?
Beat you too it :).
Need to make a stub file that adds those lib files to the LD_LIBRARY_PATH when I get the chance, save people from having to mess with them.
Install it from within desuras game browser, see if that helps.
No that is not a LIE. If you were capable of using it without an internet connection - that was by fault, not by design.
The game is targeted as a multiplayer game, singleplayer is not something we are ultimately aiming for.
Currently the master server is heavily responsible for different aspects of the game, we may add an offline mode in further down the line, but its not a priority for us at the moment.
Did that work for you then? :3
