Yeh our dedicated servers seem to be randomly going crazy, still trying to track down the issue.

Fortunately it usually only lasts a half hour or so at a time. So just try again later, or use another server until I can work outs whats wrong :3

You can't.

Read the description that shows up when you hover of "register key".

Keys are promotional, we given them away occasionally to certain people as prizes, gifts, promotion, contents, etc.

They are not freely available.

All they do is unlock some nifty hats anyhow :3

I ****** up the menu looks like. Will patch shortly.

If your desperate to rebind the keys you can edit the configuration file manually, its usually stored at;

C:\Users\{username}\ AppData\Roaming\ZombieGrinder\ cfg\Zombie Grinder.ini

(Assuming your on windows)

As of the last master server update SHA256.

I wouldn't expect high security if I were you though. The profile system is primarily just a method of preventing name-collisions, nothing else, hence why you don't even have to register an email.

Sorry :(. Japan was the closest datacenter I could find for australia (I actually was looking! I know we have quite a few Aus players). The providers available in australia are either retardedly expensive or not really up to the task of running game servers on.

Yes its always going to be free.

We will be adding a donator version at some point as a reward for those who have donated towards jordan's empty wallet though :3.

(Also this isn't an alpha, this is some early pre alpha stage build imo lol XD)

57897 is the default port.

Opening them on your router won't do anything though, it only works if the people hosting do it.

We're currently in the process of setting up some dedicated servers to remove reliance on user-hosted games (which tend to be hit-or-miss depending on if people know how to correctly host).

Mouse will never be supported, one of the things that was originally decided for this game. Totally destroys how the game plays, and dosen't work well with 8 directional sprites.

Gamepad though, as I said in the thread, apologies, I only have a 360 controller to test with so it can be a bit hit or miss with other gamepads.

Basically a more portable version of DirectX (which I'm sure you have heard of).

If it worked in the old version just read the thread I linked to below, you can turn off the check for OpenGL (though I'm amazed it dosen't work without the correct version of ogl).

There is a reason for the sarcastic pre-pre-alpha warning at the start of the game. These are essentially development builds.

As for "hit detection" and "range", those are gameplay balancing issues, not our main priority at the moment.

That's because a lot of people are trying to host servers on computers that have totally inadequate connections. Make sure you forward any ports before trying to host a game www.portfroward.com

We're currently changing the server system to something slightly different that should hopefully make this more transparent for people who don't know how servers are actually meant to be hosted.

The game already is moddable. 256 player servers will not be though. The game isn't optimised for that level of players, god only knows how that would work out, especially with people hosting on residential connections.

The only time when it's realistically useful is for the feature me and jordan or sorting out, more info soon ;3
