Yup :3. Going to make a little dungeon-crawling game mode.
It seems more overpowered than it actually is, especially given I have 100 points in damage in that video. It does considerably less damage than the normal shotguns (1-2damage per pellet, as opposed to 8+ for the others), the extra speed in firing roughly gives it the same DPS as the other shotguns.
Yeh I need to redesign the HUD now that more players can be in game at once.

No can do. Bin folder always has to take priority over the pak files, otherwise development would require constant repacking of the data files. Unfortunately this leaves the possibility of ending up running out of date files when you've updated.
Probably just going to change it so each mod has it's own bin tree.
Yup. Having an unpacked Bin=Explosion with updates as it overrides a bunch of stuff :S.

Yeh almost nobody has forwarded their ports, so few people can join the games that people are hosting. Going to tweek the master server later to only show servers that are publicly accessible. Might also implement UPNP with next build to auto-forward ports.

To be fair its kind of a necessity in zombie survival style games. I also envision it to be an optional part, something that gets you lots of XP and points, but not something that's necessary to complete a map.
We're still playing around with most of the gameplay at the time being, the amount of stuff on "the cutting room floor" is pretty hefty at the moment. If we don't like it, we'll remove it, if we do - it stays :3

And we sure aren't doing what TF2 did, there is no in game economy, there is no buying items for money, all there is a donator edition with a handful of rewards, nothing to get upset over.
wut, why would you get kicked from the game by donators? Donators have no more kicking power than anyone else. And *shrugs* we have to give something back to donators, why not weapons? They are well balanced so they won't get some kind of huge leap over other players.
I'm sorry but, servers cost money, a lot of money, donating seemed the least offensive way of people being able to help towards them.
But fine, if that's your attitude, goodbye.

Modified it now, has a large north facing hitbox.
I keep seeing people say this, which is wierd seeing as the hit box is exactly the same size in any direction.

Gems are dropped randomly from zombies. You can buy them as well but they are extortionately priced, your meant to find and combine them :3
I believe they are using custom maps.

There are also a few items that won't be purchasable.
Basically, stats have been removed for all hats. Instead each hat/item has 2 combine slots which you can place gems into (or ammo modifiers, and a few other bits and pieces), the gems give your characters stats a boost (different types of gems give different boosts). Each type of gem has 5 levels, the lowest has a tiny boost on stats, the highest has a large boost, you can combine 2 of the same level gem together to get a higher level gem.
Basically its just to allow people to choose the stats their items have while still allowing them to customize their character (jordan didn't like the last system as it lead to people always using the same hats with the better stats).
tl;dr: Think diablo.
Coins: Pickup money, get money, spend money, loose money.
XP: Killed zombies, rank up.

Sounds like your user account dosen't have permission to modify the appdata directory. Is your account an admin account or a limited user account?
We want to keep control mapping as one-to-one with a controller so this seemed the easiest control scheme.
I also loath dual control schemes (aiming with arrows, moving with wasd, etc).
Doubt the control scheme will be changing any time soon, its actually pretty simple, just takes a few games to get used to it.

Anyhow, the desura version was (its just been updated) out of date as they take a while to process patches, the dedicated servers were running on the latest version. Thus people on desura could not use the dedicated servers for the day or two it took desura to approve the patch.
No. Next update is primarily a bug-fix.
Friends etc will probably be integrated when desura releases their API, or if we ever get on steam lol.
Possible but unlikely. The master server is pretty heavily integrated into a lot of the games sub-systems. Its on the list but its not a priority for us right now.

Try now - Server seems to have run out of space (huge log files >_>). Sorted that out.
