Why does it force you to stop playing often? Any money you pick up after your wallet is full goes straight to the bank.

The reason we added the wallet system was so people could carry money persistently between games (which is necessary for some of our future updates), but without unbalancing the game (for example someone coming in with a few hundred thousand and just constantly buying the best guns / opening all the rooms / blah).

It pretty much works like before, the only difference is you can start with money and there is a wallet cap.

It dosen't stop you earning money in any way shape or form, definitely wouldn't stop people doing that, that defeats the point of the game lol. Maybe I should make it more clean that money over the wallet balance goes to the bank, I figured the tutorial message that pops up every 10 minutes when your wallet is full was enough.

Basically, stats have been removed for all hats. Instead each hat/item has 2 combine slots which you can place gems into (or ammo modifiers, and a few other bits and pieces), the gems give your characters stats a boost (different types of gems give different boosts). Each type of gem has 5 levels, the lowest has a tiny boost on stats, the highest has a large boost, you can combine 2 of the same level gem together to get a higher level gem.

Basically its just to allow people to choose the stats their items have while still allowing them to customize their character (jordan didn't like the last system as it lead to people always using the same hats with the better stats).

tl;dr: Think diablo.

Do they use shader's and FBO's for the effects though? We use them pretty heavily for some of the effects (rippling the screen on explosions, grey-scale low health effect, etc).

Ideally I need to provide some fallback for when they are not available. - So I'm coding one at the moment ;).

That is almost certainly your problem, the game uses 3d acceleration, including FBO's and shader extensions, I'm not sure an integrated chipset will be able to cope with that.

If you want to try it on your other machine that would be handy :3

I'm going to go decode that stack trace and find out what it was.

I don't suppose your sound server is pulseaudio is it? Someone else had an issue with that.

As for gdb, if you don't have experience using it to debug, probably best not to try lol.

Anyhow, I assume you've done the whole ldd Zombie Grinder and installed all the dependencies? If so, does the game get far enough to dump a log file (check in logs folder). If not, perhaps hook in with gdb and get me a memory address and give me your computer specs, and I'll try and hunt it down?

1. More or less an unavoidable problem with tile based games, might replace the fences with depth ordered sprites if I get the chance and it doesn't use up to much performance.

If your on windows vista or above, you can *try* doing this, it may work, depending on what your issue is;

Open the file:
C:\Users\[your-username]\AppData\ Roaming\ZombieGrinder\cfg\ZombieGrinder.ini

Find the section [audio]. The following line should be a few lines below it;

enabled=1

Change to;

Are you playing via desura? And have you made sure your desura copy is updated (check for a refresh icon near the Zombie Grinder item in the games list).

Your not the only person who had this problem, it appears there seems to be some kind of permissions issue at times when launching from within desura. Easiest way to bypass this, until I can work out what the issue is, is to use the standalone launcher, which you can get from twindrills.com

map names will be reserved so you can't have multiple people with the same map name in the browser. You can upload the same map multiple times, but only the most recent will show in the browser. Could you at least be more specific about what your doing?
