:). We're actually rewriting the engine at the moment. One of the main things I'm doing is removing scripting and implementing a visual-scripting / state-machine based logic.

aka. A lot more powerful modding! Will be able to change the logic of everything in game to a far greater degree.

Heh, pvp is definitely unbalanced when you start a new profile, the game has a pretty steep experience curve. Try the pve modes.

It's all in-game now, can purchase donator/premium/etc versions from the in-game shop.

There are 3 official servers, running cost is about 100$ a month. We use linode.com for hosting.

It's free and always will be. There is the option to donate in game to cover running costs of servers etc, but its not required and doesn't give you any advantage.

Trading has always forced the user back to the main menu, though I agree its kinda weird now that we have the hub world. Will sort it out asap.

Read previous comments, virus flag is a false positive by avast. Try putting it in avast's whitelist and see if it works.

Ah I assumed you meant a map as you said "whenever I join".

Yeh I've been told about that. It's because the launcher-exe does something typical of malware droppers - it downloads executable code off the internet, installs it locally and runs it. It's how are patching system works. It gets picked up by avast's heuristic-based detection.

Nothing much I can do about that, sorry.

Also the failed to install launcher update occurs when the game exe can't overwrite the launcher exe. Typically this is either because the game has not been run as admin, it dosen't have permissions to touch the exe or for some reason its still running in the background.

This seems to happen sporadically with the desura install, can you tell me what happens if you run from the stub available at zombiegrinder.com?
