I'm pretty sure the biggest mistake that Germany made was failing to destroy the BEF at Dunkirk. Dunkirk could've been a British Stalingrad. The Brits would've been forced to sue for peace had the BEF been destroyed.

The original texture looks shiny and smooth, like metal should. The new one just looks sharp and overly-enhanced. The texture should ideally be remade from scratch or just left alone. You could try blurring your new texture a little bit. Or just leave it be. :D

Thanks for your input. I can't imagine it being any more difficult than creating an FF7 mod for another game, though. In fact, Morrowind's editor is very intuitive. The scope of MDMD will be very challenging, however. Thankfully, we have lots of great reference material (FF7!).
I'll have more confidence in this mod once you upload an in game image of a character rigged with your star wars armor. :D

They could add a 'Galactic Conquest' mode and skip the story. That'd be a stepping stone for a full single player campaign if they decide to go that route. The Galactic Conquest would be an easier way to get a single-player mode implemented, maybe. :-)

I think you've reproduced the appearance of the original artwork very well. Looks like you've hit the "sweet spot" of saturation, lighting, etc.
Interesting that you tried to replicate the shading from Tactics Ogre. When did you happen to play it? I'm a Tactics Ogre enthusiast. :D
At first, I still preferred the colorful version. But looking back on it, it does look oversaturated. So I think this one looks better. The lighting could use some tweaking still, maybe. Fires usually glow yellow, right? Your lighting looks a bit too white.

Your version looks more realistic in comparison, I think. The lighting and the colors aren't as saturated as in the original drawings. Maybe you could increase the brightness and saturation a bit on your Crysis 2 levels? Or maybe you want it to look realistic? I'm sort of a junkie for imitating something very closely and I like the cartoon look better.

It's very detailed. Definitely a high quality model for a game. There aren't any defects as far as I can tell. I wonder how it'd look if you smoothed the faces for some of the parts (like the scope, barrel, etc)?

Pink isn't a natural hair color. I doubt that if you lived in a post apocalypse world, you'd feel the need to dye and style your hair like a fashion model. This mod breaks the immersion.
This looks pretty good. I think the hood should be more pronounced, though. WW1 stahlhelms had very large hoods in the back that you could recognize from a distance.
I'll give you 50 bucks if you add real gundams to the game.
