Yeah, it sounds to me like you don't have any idea what you're talking about. The muslims of course captured Constantinople in 1453, massacring and enslaving the citizens. The muslim turks attempted to invade Europe all the way into the 17th century before ultimately being defeated at the Battle of Vienna. The (muslim) barbary pirates were enslaving europeans long after that.

Europe is the homeland of Indo-Europeans. Indo-Europeans have defeated the invasions of racial aliens for thousands of years. Asiatics almost conquered Europe in the 4th century under the leadership of Attilla. The Ottomans made repeated incursions into the European heartland which were defeated by coalitons of Europeans defending their homeland. It would be very unfortunate if we allow ourselves to lose the territory we've defended against aliens for THOUSANDS of years because of some pathological notion of "tolerance". But if your homeland was suddenly overrun by MILLIONS of people who will not even adopt your culture, your heritage would be wiped out and replaced in no time at all. Don't you want to fight for something you love and admire, namely your own cultural heritage? Your heritage is what your forefathers passed down to YOU, not some foreigners that contributed nothing at all to the development of your civlization.

Besides that, there is a GENETIC component to it. Germans are very closely related to one another. Japanese are closely related to other Japanese. They're like family. When you import foreigners, you're hurting your own extended family. Culture is also the product of genetics.

It's funny how middle aged people sometimes say how much happier and safer life was when they were children. The United States had its own distinct culture that immigrants were expected to adopt and assimilate to until very recently when multi-culturalism became the predominant ideology in the west. Now the dominant cultures in all Western countries are in the process of being wiped out or "deconstructed". The elites want to turn the population into shallow consumers. When the native populations aren't consuming, they import consumers from the 3rd world. They also want to flood the labor market with foreigners to lower wages, but that's another side of the equation. Western Civilization (which I love very dearly) is being obliterated. All our heroes are now painted as villains.

Since most of us are totally powerless, we just distract ourselves with video games, sports, movies, and other meaningless time wasters.

I could easily port this to fallout or some other game, of course. The facecount (with all the modifiers removed) is about 40,000 but that could be optimized pretty easily.

...A Junon mod would be a simple project, even compared to the shinra tower. There are 8 levels with 70 identical buildings. You never know. ;-)

I'm just afraid to indulge too much in my obsessions like I used to.

Your version looks more realistic in comparison, I think. The lighting and the colors aren't as saturated as in the original drawings. Maybe you could increase the brightness and saturation a bit on your Crysis 2 levels? Or maybe you want it to look realistic? I'm sort of a junkie for imitating something very closely and I like the cartoon look better.

It's very detailed. Definitely a high quality model for a game. There aren't any defects as far as I can tell. I wonder how it'd look if you smoothed the faces for some of the parts (like the scope, barrel, etc)?

That was the next step. I baked the normals for a couple sections in blender to learn the method. Obviously the building as it is now couldn't be used in Fallout. Thanks for the comment. :-)

That is awesome. I think one of Pirate's shortcomings is the ugly ships you use when you're sailing around. If you could update a lot of the ships, it'd turn it into a whole new game.
