Distant terrain - yes!
Would distant buildings and stuff like that be possible? Being able to see cities and dungeons from afar would be irresistible!
You only played the bad Civilization game but you love civilization! The DS one was crap!
I'll have more confidence in this mod once you upload an in game image of a character rigged with your star wars armor. :D
Each A7V had its own name. They were regarded as "land-ships". What do you call this one. :D
Vastly inferior to the real Final Fantasy VII. What the hell did you do to the music, by the way? It sounds BAD. And the textures for the battle backgrounds look a lot worse.
all hail lord tomato!
I'm an advance wars fan. :D
I'll help you if you're still gonna work on this!!!
Leave me a message. :)
this was one of the first mods I played back in 2004! hehehe
I thought rideable vehicles were impossible!!
A map that actually makes use of the boats. This pleases me.
Have you played Morrowind? It's just like Oblivion (in terms of how you interact with the characters/world), but MUCH better. And, your chief complaint about Oblivion is all its autogenerated content. Everything was done by hand in Morrowind. This project was originally intended as a Morrowind mod, actually. We upgraded to Oblivion because Morrowind's engine is getting out of date. It's still a Morrowind mod, spiritually! If that's possible. :)
The reason we chose Oblivion had a lot to do with the way it lets you interact with characters, areas, and how the quests and factions work. That Blender 3D can export Oblivion meshes was also important. I'm not that familiar with Cryengine, though... maybe you could explain specifically why it'd be better?
Ah, aren't those some nice datadyne banners!
Sorry. My internets have been acting screwy. :P
Ah, punks torching a library. Typical!
That fist on the wall is a nice touch. ;-)
Also, nice use of Wagner there. :-)
I'd love to hear some sort of rendition of Strauss' Blue Danube waltz in the mod someday, like in Elite II. That would be cool!
See here: Youtube.com
Hey, guys. :-)
I really want to try this. Is there any way you could port it to the Blackberry Playbook? That's my dedicated gaming tablet...
Please, make a gameplay video! I want to see what this mod looks like before I try it!
Looks like he accidentally brushed the space-bar and then all hell broke loose!
Don't look very animated to me. :-/
This is pretty neat. Well done. :-)
I know this mod already has a caverns remix. I like how we'll be getting several remixes of each song (or at least some of them)...
Don't bloof around. Get it done. ;-)
I certainly voted for a more historically-oriented sailing simulation. There are more than enough fantasy games out there. Pleased to see that others feel the same way. :-)
60% of video: "Connecting to server"
40% of video: (typing) "Bloof"
okay, okay. you people didn't like that. how about this.
brock is NOT a dark-skinned jappo!
he's a... <.< ... >.> ... aspiring rap artist / neurosurgeon from florida known among his friends as 'trayvon'
Brock is a dark-skinned jappo.
I think you're making the right choice. ;-)
hobbies can all too easily absorb your attention to the neglect of more important things.
Ideally, you should just adapt all your pokemon gen stuff (besides anything identifiable as from 'pokemon') and make a new IP based on it. you already have a lot of content, why not adapt pokegen to something original that you can profit from? it seems a bit unrealistic to work on two projects at the same time...
This is a fairly obvious question, but... does the mod feature a map of the world / of Europe?
I take it the mod won't be continued?
Time to tie up the loose ends. The mod still looks like it's being developed!
Wow. This is cool. :D
Nice work. :D
I think you've reproduced the appearance of the original artwork very well. Looks like you've hit the "sweet spot" of saturation, lighting, etc.
Interesting that you tried to replicate the shading from Tactics Ogre. When did you happen to play it? I'm a Tactics Ogre enthusiast. :D
At first, I still preferred the colorful version. But looking back on it, it does look oversaturated. So I think this one looks better. The lighting could use some tweaking still, maybe. Fires usually glow yellow, right? Your lighting looks a bit too white.
Nintendo shut down Pokemon fan sites? That's harsh! The team making this project is certainly talented. It's too bad they don't just go ahead and make their own game that can't be shut down. There are plenty of Pokemon-like games out there. Why not another?
This game is actually technically "brand piracy" since it uses the Pokemon name (a registered trademark) without authorization. Giving credit to Nintendo doesn't make it legit. The creators seem to be worried that the facebook page may draw unwanted attention to the project leading to a cease and desist order from Nintendo.
An update about halting updates. :D
Impressive work! Your current build looks a lot more polished than I expected.
The environment looks like 100% more detailed than I remembered!
Will there be gas attacks. :D
Very impressive! Your style looks fresh and interesting while still being faithful to DK. Good work. I look forward to further progress!
custom build is gay all the games look gay!!!
one word: fancy!
and one question: what's it for. :D
This may sound strange... but I'm really liking that ground texture. Would like to see a better view, possibly. :)
Good lord, that's violent! Flying shrapnel and everything. It's terrifying...
what an ugly turtle man. :-/
Sounds awesomely realistic. :D
I like the idea of having to jettison all those costly sculptures and so forth to improve stability. Although even that didn't save the Wasa. :-)
By the way, have you figured out how to sink your ships yet? That part's always the most fun.
thanks for making me sea sick. I didn't think that was even possible with the nearest ocean over 800 miles away. :-Q
All kidding aside, I'm glad to see that development is starting to pick up on Hearts of Oak and that things are moving along. Good work guys.
Brilliant work. Impressive detail. ;-)
You guys are professionals when it comes to modding Morrowind. Your latest work doesn't strike me as the labor of amateurs.
Sorry I couldn't help you guys more. I'm an excited fan, nonetheless. :D
build a wall around the portal. pesky human problem solved. :-)
One ugly tree is amazing!?
Well done. I like the detail. ;-)
Very nice model. :D
You can call it the 'TurboPower 2200'!
you're right. ;-)
I only noticed the first three for some reason.
All the screenshots are a little dark, unfortunately. Even with my brightness at fall. Great to see an update, though. :-)
I always wanted to see some board games made with shiva. Perhaps you could port it to the Blackberry Playbook too?
a waltz! I love waltzes. I think this is a good effort here. ;-)
not a bad soundfont either.
Not a bad interpretation. ;-)
Your version looks more realistic in comparison, I think. The lighting and the colors aren't as saturated as in the original drawings. Maybe you could increase the brightness and saturation a bit on your Crysis 2 levels? Or maybe you want it to look realistic? I'm sort of a junkie for imitating something very closely and I like the cartoon look better.
Great work so far, anyhow.
Nice work here. ;-)
It's very detailed. Definitely a high quality model for a game. There aren't any defects as far as I can tell. I wonder how it'd look if you smoothed the faces for some of the parts (like the scope, barrel, etc)?
I like it. ;-)
You say the latest Blender version has this Cycles Rendering Engine built into it? How long did it take to render? Those rivets are a nice little detail.
The trees look good. -.^
Sweet. How'd you make that. :D
Ah, what a motley looking bunch of incompetents!
How the mighty have fallen.
Not a bad guess. ;-)
Dollet and the oh-so mysterious location with the 'R' banner have a lot in common. I think Dollet even uses some of the same textures. I guess I'm not the first person to notice the similarities!
This is in Shiva3D. The poly-count is very high, as you can imagine!
My money's on the Nord.
I dunno if it's a limitation of the game engine itself, but you'd think if there were a massive lightning bolt like that striking the ground, the whole area would be illuminated spectacularly. Like everything would glow for a split second. Is that the default skyrim weather effect?
That looks incredible!
A star port in St. Louis? Hm, judging by the condition and demographics of the city right now, I don't think we'll be ready to build a star port in three hundred years. Ditto for London and Paris!
Looks good. The boards look a little too big, though. Guess the uv-map needs some work. Could use a normal map, too. Not a bad start.
You're right. Maybe you know what you're doing. We'll see. ;-)
lol. Skyrim and star wars don't mix! I'd also like to know how the mod leader intends to rig his google sketchup models, seeing as he (presumably) doesn't have enough modeling experience to make his own armor. these are questions only time can answer. :D
this looks like a fail mod. hopefully I'll be proven wrong. :-)
Looks neat. :D
What do the grey rings mean?
Fancy! I love Warcraft II. Where's the Ogre Juggernaut. :D
Hahaha. That little fellow brought a sword to a cannon fight! I'm impressed by how well he dodges those cannon balls. ;-)
The perfect spot for my castle!
I'm guessing the sails respond to the wind direction now. :D
Sounds good. ;-)
Can't wait to see this in action.
Looks great. :D
I will definitely be an unofficial backer until I raise some funds. :D
That is Lord Albertus you're addressing! Show some respect, you filthy peasant!
I have two questions.
1.) Do you build units?
2.) Do you capture cities?
A telegram from His Imperial Majesty the Blood-Emperor of the Aztecs to His Majesty the King of Portugal
very subtle. :D
Very nice. ;-)
Going out and taking photos to make textures out of is something I used to do. Lots of fun. :D
Are you making normal/spec maps along with the diffuse? It's hard to tell from the screenshots.
It should be aesthetically pleasing. If it's just a bunch of code, at least make it colorful. make some words blue, others red. then I'll say it looks good. :-)
Maybe. If the system looks good. ;-)
Give us a video, then you'll get my vote. :D
You! You're very diplomatic. ;-)
You don't think Morrowind Rebirth deserves to be mod of the year but you're very cunningly saying that you want people to vote for it. :D
I'll vote because I think it's a good mod. You should have more faith!
That's an impressive start. ;-)
Really impressive. :D
Do the decks look so detailed in first-person view? If so, you've really done an outstanding job here.
I saw Morrowind Rebirth 2 this morning. I thought it was suspicious. ;-)
Mr. hacker, the game is up! REVEAL YOURSELF!
You call this an "enhancement"?
It looks so real!
This is fantastic work.
Can I at least PRETEND I'm "pirating" the game? It's more exciting that way!
Also, great news! This is being made with UDK, right?
Looks Byzantine. :D
can't wait to see this one in game. :D
IS there a way to play this Perfect Dark mod on a real N64? That would be cool. :D
This mod looks amazing, but I have a lot of trouble playing multiplayer N64 games online through an emulator.
very nice. :D
Nice work. :D
How many new ships does the mod add to the game, altogether?
Pink isn't a natural hair color. I doubt that if you lived in a post apocalypse world, you'd feel the need to dye and style your hair like a fashion model. This mod breaks the immersion.
This looks pretty good. I think the hood should be more pronounced, though. WW1 stahlhelms had very large hoods in the back that you could recognize from a distance.
I'll give you 50 bucks if you add real gundams to the game.
Amazing! Congratulations on sticking with with this project to completion. :D
where am swastiker
looks better than crysis!
Looks healthy to me!
Hell rider, oh my!
I like that smoke dispersion. The rolling water looks nice, too.
Are those the features that you're demonstrating here?
o...okay, mr. demon man--sir. I'll let you know if there are any problems!
Cyrodill, this time with real Romans. :D
an aqueduct! that's neat!
very impressive! how much is this like elite: frontier? does it use newtonian physics?
this is actually a good idea! more singleplayer goldeneye maps for multiplayer. :D
I'd like to see the full facility as a MP map. that would be kewl.
Romans are cool, you filthy barbarian.
is this final?
Isn't it a little odd that the smoke glows? I wonder if that could be adjusted?
Nice battle, though. I like how they're lined up in formation. :-)
I dedicate this music to Garland. The master of the universe!
I see an obelisk!
Good to hear there's a world outside the dungeons. :-)
This is really good. Can't wait for the HQ version. :D
Haha. Very nice! You're gonna make Goldeneye worth another replay. :-)
it moves. ;-)
you are correct, sir. :(
Beautiful! This looks like a real town at dusk. Good work.
Is that a man on a boat in the river?
Very interesting. ;-)
It is very close to Jeremy Soule's atmospheric style, which is excellent. I'll look forward to more like this!
very interesting. :-)
Reminds me of an ice cavern...!
This is a really good battle theme. It'd be great for a mod. It's fresh and new, but still recognizably ff7. Good work. :-)
So, this game isn't even chess anymore? Is there at least a chess mode somewhere. :-)
what is this, james bond!
This is nice! Very INTENSE.
The archives look great! Really nice work. :D
The pointy bars on the capstan wouldn't be attached when it's not being used.
Good storm, though. Very violent. :D
Is it possible to adjust the lighting? I think in a storm everything would look much darker.
Wow. this looks neat!
So does that mean you're going to make something. :D
be patient, you!
It's in the game engine. :-)
This is very good! I wonder if these new ships you're putting in the game look as detailed when you're standing on the deck?
When I played PotC, what I didn't like was that when you're on your own ship walking around it wasn't detailed.
by Junichi Masuda, pilfered by Anshu
really, though. this project is very impressive! keep up the good work. :)
I like the pirate sails. :-)
Wow. I want one!
this is really good. :D
could you replace the piano with a harpsichord?! try it. ;-)
sounds like something straight from jeanne d'arc. :)
very good! you really know your roman architecture. ;-)
are you using a specific book as a reference?
those animated sails look very realistic
pretty good. :-)
this is ENSANE!
Looks good! Your personal ratings are very conservative. ;-)
Your train is very good. :o
That was the next step. I baked the normals for a couple sections in blender to learn the method. Obviously the building as it is now couldn't be used in Fallout. Thanks for the comment. :-)
Excellent! This game is piquing my interests. :-)
What about the g-diffuser!!!
Invaders lack targeting systems, so they have to ram you. I remember that from that SF64 strategy guide. :-)
It was a flawed design!
Looks about 7 years out of date!
I love shipwrecks. :D
I feel happy now. :D
ohhhh, yeah. SOUNDS TOUGH!
I can imagine walking around the street to this! excellent work. ;)
This is really good, gilleece. honestly. I hope we can use it! :D
I like this more every time I hear it. :D
what? you again!! GET HER!
nice banjo. :D
I really look forward to this. When I first played morrowind, I thought an mmo version would be great. some players could hide out in thieves dens and raid passing travelers. other could go on legion raids!
I'll help, if there's anything I can do. I just make meshes, though.
yours is slightly more boxy. or less boxy?
neato! youre making all of this alone? how much is recycled?
the nazees never made it to asia
I am curious to know what the halo fans have against halo wars... I havent played it, but it looked sorta nice.
halo on the wii? hmm. I could just play halo on the xbox, though. portable halo FTW! :'(
also, it's far more impressive to see what you could accomplish on the psp. like your usable vehicles. THAT was neat.
yes, it looks terrible
zombie island... lol!
is that wireframe! it looks way to high poly, son!! needs some optimization!
hehehe. you forgot to mention about the japmen are up to all this time! will there be a spaceship yamato. ;)
give your orc music harpsichords and I will love you!!
you want people to teach you? that's supreme laziness. you'll never be a modder. prove me wrong.
really great details on the walls. damn!
great article. I will try new horizons!
hehe. why does it look like peopole are being blasted off that boat!
yes, he's very sticky! and that IS a large building. 70 stories!
you'll be able to see all of it once the distant models are set up...
AREN I SMART
really amazing mesh. I personally would like to see the butcher! 'FRESH MEAT!!!' (me runs away)
awesome! you're really talented. :)
this is gonna be a great mod
ohhh, he has a fancy fridge. he must be french
hehehe. I like this!
wat u say
I'm very much a fan of large structures and imposing beams. Carry on like this!
hehe. very good!
looks pretty good. I doubt you laid that level out by yourself!
PROVE ME WRONG
He needs some pots! How do you expect him to cook his spaghettios?
wouldn't the green fpa icon at the bottom look better if it was goldish? everything else looks really excellent!
those are the SOLDIER eyes we're testing. :p
they slightly glow!
HOW ABOUT U SHUT UR FACE
i like mods that dont show a lot of blood.
ITS MORE IMMERSIVE TO IMAGINE IT
very excellent. can the treads be animated? how would you do that
to LOOK PRETTY, ***
shouldn't that eagle be grasping something!!
wow. the vanilla really looks like that? I just bought e:tw. it looks like the mini-map's zoomed out too much on the top. ...if that REALLY is how the vanilla looks, I'll definitely download this mod.
that's a pleasant bunch. :o
it was an interesting idea, son! I'm familiar with being a one-man mod team. :p
wow. good work!
that looks scary. ...its gun is huge!
...what's that, the evil shinra music!
really detailed texture on your intrepid class, son!
is that the berreta/perfect dark/robocop gun? looks good!
...valkyries! I can't wait to have some fleet battles. :)
good work! what's yang's flagship called? I think it was hyperion... he had the smallest one. :o
I see your alliance decal at the bottom, too. it looks very good. would making the hue more goldish look odd?
HOW ARE YOU WORKING ON THAT AND POSTING YOUR UPDATE SIMULTANEOUSLY
what idiot put the flag on upside down!!!
this looks like fun!
looks kinda dirty... FOR THE CHAMPION. maybe you should give him a fancy house in the imperial city somewhere?
I'd like to get the unique shinra salutin' in there. :)
the buildings look very detailed!
this is really impressive!!! how many people made it?
where'd you find those streetlamps? I remember seeing them in screenshots from an unreleased mod a couple years ago... I thought they looked interesting. :o
Is this from a new .exe, or is this vanilla morrowind? ...because if you've already deprogrammed Morrowind enough to start rendering levels, that's impressive. :)
your face is misaligned. hehehehehehe
...we want the Doctor!
His head's a box!
That looks like a good commisar, right there. ready to shoot an infantryman in the back!
very, very detailed!
Thumbs down? WHO are the pokemon haters here. I want names!
Kinda reminds of pokemon chipsets. :o
that music doesn't really fit. just sounds like loud banging. I had to mute it. otherwise, nice. :)
A for effort. :)
very, very nice!
I'm excited. :)
That's a nice staff, there!
I love the shadow. Like an 8-bit sprite!
Too late! Your mod will be shut down.........NOW!
Maybe you could have little islands you could travel between?
That is awesome. I think one of Pirate's shortcomings is the ugly ships you use when you're sailing around. If you could update a lot of the ships, it'd turn it into a whole new game.
Wow. Looks a lot more detailed than the vanilla ships.
23rd century battles among 3rd world powers using primitive relics from 200 years earlier!
I share these sentiments. All the background info's especially great. Really eloquent, too. It makes me very excited. You should write a novel!
Wow.... 500+ missions? Do each get a briefing? This looks really nice. I await the standalone installer. :)
Looking very nice! I like those columns, too. What kinda building is that?
I wonder what city that is. :D
Hey, youngin'! Thanks for your interest in MDMD. Encouragement helps. ;)
That's a nice texture. :o
Oh, it's mechanical junk from the station. You can see it when Cloud looks up at the reactor.
Thanks for your interest in this project. Presently, we're seeking more team members in order to fully realize MDMD. We're a group of devoted FF7 fans and we operate as a community. In order to demonstrate MDMD's credibility, we're hard at work on releasing a preliminary demo. This should also showcase MDMD's basic features. Your support is much appreciated and we hope to fulfill your expectations.
