What do you think of Mantle API? The fact that with it is possible to have 100k draw calls per frame is pretty amazing with solid performance. Also it was said that it is not only limited to AMD cards - so for you, B., your GTX 680 might have support soon for it! :D
Btw, why didn't you go with GTX770?
It is equal to GTX680 GHz edition, but is cheaper and has GPu Boost 2.0.

I have heard from many OpenGL developers that AMD cards are not the best for developing OpenGL applications because of drivers. Hopefully there will not be any problems with testing OverDose on that videocard...or even developing applications.

Dunia 2 engine uses global illumination technique, what they have called as "Deferred Radiance Transfer Volumes". You can read about that here: Engineroom.ubi.com
Try /r_fullscreen 0 in console( press "~" ). And after that type /vid_restart .
You can change also the resolution in Options menu.

Great engine "fix"/tweak project.
However SDL makes it very difficult/nearly impossible to implement OpenGL 4.2 on ioquake3 rendering code.
The engine is gorgeous!
Still one of the best engines :)

Well Google isn't that friendly at OpenGL tutorials side, most of them are mix of old OpenGL( glBegin()..glEnd() ) and of newer OpenGL versions what use vertex buffer objects (VBOs) and vertex array objects (VAOs) for drawing objects.
I would ask Berserk, how long he have studied OpenGL and where? ;D
