Yes you can play them all but be warned that some bonus objectives can't be completed because units or abilities tied to it are gone.

Also, some missions became ridiculously easy while some became much harder. For example, Nod mission where you capture Catalyst Launch Facility became way harder while Nod mission in Washington can be now completed by a single cloaked Flame tank.

It's been a long time since I checked on Tiberium Essence. Last time I checked it was around when 1.6 was released and since then I kind of lost interest in the game because of other things in my life.

I have a few questions to bring me up to speed with current situation.

1) What made Carnius change his mind and add another faction? I remember that he strongly opposed the idea and now I see that Forgotten are now a whole new faction.

2) This one is more for Carnius rather than community. Do you have any kind of goal with this mod? Can we ever expect a final version of Tiberium Essence or do you plan to mod the game as long as you can?

3) Have you ever considered in continuing the story where Tiberium Wars/Kane's Wrath stops?

4) Final question and this one is more for community. How well does Tiberium Wars run on your PC? I got a new PC somewhere in 2013 and the game still runs slow sometimes. In campaign it never drops below 30 FPS with all details maxed up but when I fire up Bordertown beatdown map and I set up a game with 7 AI Brutal players, 3 on my team, 4 on enemy team (I am a junkie for huge battles). The game starts fine at 30 FPS and it is stable, then the game just goes wacky and slowly drops frame by frame all the way to 15 FPS. Thing is, this happened on my old PC and on the PC before my old PC. I thought it was a problem with the game but then I see people on youtube who play the same map with 7 AI players and everything runs fine. I even tried lowering the details to minimum but the problem persists. This happens in both mod and vanilla game. Game is patched to 1.9.

Harvesters became way dumber. I just played on Bordertown Beatdown map and I had 2 Refineries in front of my base and 4 more in the back. Two in the front are not that protected and I don't count on them too much so I heavily rely on 4 in the back.

As soon as I set them up harvesters bring one load of Tiberium and then they go straight into enemy base in order to get more Tiberium. At one point I just realized that all my harvesters are gone and I just got rolled over because I had no credits at all.

The worst thing happens in campaign. Harvesters seek out only blue Tiberium and ignore green one completely. Also after ordering them to pick up Tiberium they will do it and then after they deplete it they go blue-hunting again.

Please remove that voice off of Colossus. It sounds so gay and reminds me of Tiberian Twilight.

Is this the continuation of zero hour reborn v4.0 the rise to power mod. I really had fun with that mod but that was a long time ago, now I see that this thing came up but I wonder is this the same but just updated mod?

I just can't fathom how could EA make some really stupid mistakes with this game.

In vanilla Tiberium Wars walls were disabled, Juggernauts wouldn't tilt their cannons (simply retarded), cloak shield was very buggy and Surveyors took ages to unpack. These are just some on top of my mind among the numerous things that were bad in the game.

How much time Carnius invested in those things? Maybe a day, two, maybe ten.

How much time would EA need to fix those? Several hours tops thanks to their numerous techies.

Carnius packed the mod in about 150 megabytes and his mod patches and adds so many things while their official patch is 260 megabytes and does only small balance things.

It is like they started with the game, then got bored over it and then just finished the game as soon as possible so the money invested won't go to waste.

They had money to bring big names in the game like Ironside but they bought the most cheapest textures and icons (saw a thread on EA forums which got deleted as soon as it was posted).

Couldn't they just gather 50 people like Carnius and say to them: Ok people, you like this game, you are true fans, now make a sequel to Tiberian Sun, you have access to our resources, you have 2 years to make the game.
All they had to do is just playtest the game and patch things up.

Now as we all know Kodiak was its codename, much like calling a German Panzer tank "Johnny" or "Jake".

So rename this unit into Orca Command Vehicle as it should be named. Also I think the MK2 mark is just too much, we have too much MK2 units in mod already.

I must say I am very surprised that I found a game that has that "Fallout" taste.

I just love Fallout games. I played every Fallout game, including Fallout 3 and New Vegas. To be honest, those were very good and had its own "taste", but the story, style and overall feeling strayed away from the original games.

I especially miss the old turn system that reminded me a lot of chess game.

I had to admit to myself: You will never find a game that is similar to Fallout ever again. From time to time I sweep through Fallout 1 and 2. And every time it brings me joy. From those humble beginnings in Arroyo in Fallout 1 to the Oil Rig platform and fight with Frank Horrigan, I enjoy every bit of it.

Recently I saw this article online Sk.rs

I was curious and decided to see what is this guy cooking. Immediately when I saw screenshots, I thought in myself: Wow, this looks a lot like Fallout. And after reading through description I got a grin over my face.

In the moment I write this the game is on 46% of download progress. I can't wait to try the demo.

This thing has been discussed so many times. Carnius said no and community said no.

And cyborg commando is perfect for NOD. Stealthy small unit that is very unstable but very deadly.

Reedemer is more of a GDI style, big *** robot that shots giant laser. Also massing 8 banshees can kill Mammoth mark 2 very easily.

Oh boy, where do I start.

That operating system is just pure Tiberian Twilight if you know what I mean.

It reminds a lot on tablets and touchpad phones which is very bad if you are familiar with usual designs from XP, Vista or 7.

I don't know for stability because I never had any nerve to test it thoroughly but design is awful.

Mods will work on it if the game works on it so I doubt that there would be any problem with it.

To avoid typing for 30 minutes you can google windows 8 and see what am I talking about.

My advice is to stick with XP or 7 and wait for another OS to be released.

I would suggest that he hurries a little bit, fans are getting a little bit rabid. :)

If you are so wanting to play this new mod and you can't wait, why don't you try to play Tiberian Sun or Tiberian Dawn. They are both free now to download, not just them but Red Alert 1 also.

I was playing Tiberian Sun yesterday and what little feature that I really want to see back in Tiberium Wars would be for Cyborg commando to crawl on his arms when he is destroyed, just like in the old days. It would bee too much for cyborgs since they are very strong now, I though maybe just for command since he is epic unit.

Also I saw new reapers, don't you think their model should be thinner. They look like moving tanks, not like spider like cyborgs.

Also, is it possible to incorporate Weed Eater in the game since we are getting Veinhole monster back. I would love to see chemical missile back as a support power, it would be much cooler than radar jamming missile and a good addition to already cool catalyst missile.

I played last NOD mission of Tiberian Sun yesterday and somewhere around 1 hour into the game my harvesters just stopped unloading tiberium. I had somewhere around 15 harvesters and all of them were just sitting around refinery. When you click on them and hover a cursor over refinery there is no garrison cursor appearing. Is this a bug?

It is really nasty because I had 2 bases, 1 GDI and 1 NOD and I couldn't build a thing since my harvesters were just sitting there.

One fun fact to know.

Black Hand as we all know is a faction of Nod that is very loyal to Kane and his most famous leader was Anton Slavik also known as "Serbian Wolf".

Black Hand actually existed in our world. It was a secret movement formed in 1901 against the king in order to unite all the countries that were once under Serbia. Black Hand assassinated the king later and they put another king from another dynasty to rule.

I thought that Anton Slavik might actually be an in-game descendant of first leader of Black Hand Dragutin Dimitrijević also known as Apis (Egyptian half bull, half man god).

But the actual first leader in game was Gideon Ravenshaw.

I don't know if Westwood wanted to do something with Black Hand and to tie them with real world Black Hand but I don't think it might be just a coincidence that years later in game the same named organization would be led by a Serbian officer.

Also good thing to mention is that one guy from Serbia worked on Tiberian Sun, so Black Hand and its mission might be his idea.

I remember this little useless tin can. Only practical use was on one NOD mission in firestorm. Other than that it was useless, not to mention removable when vehicle repaired.

But suicide attack might be the thing we need. Maybe adding something else on this will make it really good.

Why can't firehawk be like raptor from Generals. Have its missiles, can attack both ground and air, effective vs air units and ground units and pretty much weak vs buildings.

Also I wonder if adding and EMP missile to the firehawk, when you press and target one aircraft he fires an EMP missile that can shut down any vehicle, and instantly kill any aircraft except mothership. It would be a real aircraft buster when you are facing huge armies of air units. I liked how emp missiles worked in zero hour. Its just a suggestion. Throw in your opinion.

I can't agree more. But superweapons nerf is redundant a bit.

Also I got a bit disappointed when I saw my favorite unit. The glorious firehawk can now only attack aircrafts. :(

Any chance firehawk can be multipurpose fighter, to carry two bombs and 8 air to air missiles. I miss those moments when you can fly in with stratofighter booster and kill any building with 6 firehawks.

On brutal difficulty when you build a commando he won't last for 5 minutes. Whenever there is a fight all units (even a GDI harvester) will focus him, it is like having him painted in red and made him wearing a sign "KILL ME".

While on easy or medium you can pretty much backdoor and defeat an entire base.

I can live with orca spam or other, BUT MY GOD, THOSE JUMPJETS ARE AND ANNOYANCE. They are like ants, you simply can't beat them all, they are the same as NOD rocket squads, the more you kill, twice of that amount comes in the next wave.

And also base defenses seem to be so weak right now, not in power ofcourse but in terms of health pool. In any other game base defenses would "defend" you, in generals they were tough so you need to work around base defenses with artillery or aircraft or first take out power supply and then attack.

Here base defenses are much more diverse but if you build them, its just money being thrown away.

Yup, I can confirm it, they are very durable for a single infantry unit. I would keep the health and damage but I would increase squad member numbers so when 1 or 2 dies now this last one would deal damage equal to the portion of damage that now this jumpjet deals. Also I think it should have some damage increase against infantry, you know to deal some extra damage against them, but when fighting heavy vehicles or buildings they should deal less damage than usual. It is somewhat unrealistic when you can destroy a building with a small caliber weapon. It is like you are trying to demolish a building with a hand gun.

I'm not stupid not to try that, but how can I defend against them when I kill 1 squad of those they can kill my 2 wolverines.

Also to mention Im playing vs brutal ai on kane edition, Im not playing vs easy. And yet they spam rocket squads and scorpions. Scorpions are easy but that infantry is slaughtering, I can't even reach higher tech since they keep sending them as mad, base defenses are quite useless against them since they do almost minor damage to squads.

I tried once with scrin and I had 10 razorbacks and about 7-8 seeker tanks, I also had 2 war factories and a bunch of credits, around 30000. And I had 3 lightning spikes and 4 buzzer hives. Also in war factory I started to build devourer tanks to counter some heavy armor.

They poured some infantry and I immediately started to attack them, but look at that miracle. As I killed one squad they fired once and destroyed 1 razzorback, while moving in to kill another squad (they have now bigger range than most anti infantry vehicles) they took out another one, and another one and by that point they started to win. My buzzer hives were slaughtered with scorpions and my defenses decimated. Trying to repel their attack and repair my base I spent 25000 credits. Guess what happened, I lost.

All because those pesky little rocket squads do some serious damage. If I could take out them I could focus on scorpions that actually do less damage and win that, but no. I tried GDI with APC and Rifeman spam along with some missile squads in apc's. No avail, they just pummeled me.

I will record my one game and show you what actually happens so you can see for yourself.

With other infantry I have no problems, but man, do those little rockets go on my nerves. Huge range for an infantry, high spammability and high damage.

Also buzzer hive seems to be made from papper, 2 hits and bye bye.

Is it just me or shredder turrets are bugged. They seem to be idle when enemy is around, they will fire only when you order them to.

Also this might be tough to do but what do you think of smart turrets?

I will explain, in intelligence database it clearly states that watchtower turrets will target enemy infantry first. That means when tank arrives with some infantry, watchtower should focus infantry and guardian cannon (now RPG turret) should focus tanks.

When I actually play the game all of my defenses target single unit no matter what it is. So many times my Obelisk of light or sonic emitter wasted their salvo on just one rocket squad while 5 meters to the left there is an Avatar standing.

I know this is possible, I saw something similar in Red Alert 3, in that game when you order your migs to attack lets say kirov airship, they will fire an exact number of missiles that is needed to kill it. They will never waste not even a single rocket. Also AI in Red Alert and in Tiberium Wars now focus wounded units instead of fully healthy ones.

Basically, I think it is only a matter of how is AI programmed to act in certain situation. So if there is some kind of script that regulates that it should be made into something like this: Turret vicinity unit priority: vehicles if not present infantry.

Im not a master programmer but you get the point.

Well, the problem with NOD is that they spam their infantry very much. Their infantry is way more durable than GDI infantry.

Aside from that, they spam rocket squads which are pretty much overpowered since they do splash damage that can kill an entire squad of infantry, and they can heavily damage multiple vehicles because of their area of effect damage.

Pair them up with highly durable Black Hand troopers that eat structures for lunch, add some cyborgs that are even more durable than Black Hand and there you go.

Most effective way of killing them is spamming Sonic tank or sonic weaponry, but GDI AI never does that. Sonic tank indeed can rip infantry apart but you need to be fast to actually produce some, by the time you produce 5, they can produce 50 rocket squads for more or less same price.

Also AI always spams huge amounts of low tech units that do low damage alone, but in huge armies they pack a punch. For example scorpion tanks, rocket squads, buzzers, desintegrators, seeker tanks, Goliath apcs, wolverines...

AI from vanilla brought the term "zerg rush" to the entire new level.

You might also try this mod on Kane Edition since Kane Edition featured some improved AI intelligence but its not much better.

Also there is one huge problem that simple kills the entire game. Single core usage. This game came out in the same year as Crysis and it was published by the same studio EA Games, Crysis can support multicore processors and Tiberium wars can't.

No matter how strong PC you have, some skirmish maps or games will choke even the strongest processors and thus they will spoil the game entirely.
