Well, I noticed that my profile was quite bland, blank, and boring, so I decided to spend some time going on about... stuff! What really gets me right now is the rarity of writing-based jobs in this industry. I have been on this site for a few months now, and I've barely managed to find a few openings for a story or dialog writer. . I understand how most people want to write their own words to keep their ideal storyline, but I haven't even found anything as simple as a proof-reading job (which I think some games need, but that's another rant...)!

Another thing: Why is it so hard for new guys to get into the industry?  The few openings that I have found, I've been turned down because I didn't have enough "experience in the gaming industry". It makes me wonder of by that, they mean "game DEVELOPMENT industry". Sure, I may have never worked on a full game, or even an official mod, but I have plenty of experience in gaming. Game manuals helped teach me to read! I even submit sample works, but those seem to either vanish or get looked over. It just bugs me that an avid gamer can't even take a step forward without already having the experience he is trying to get! Well, I'm all ranted out now, so I'm gonna try to get another job. IamOUT!
