UPDATE 3: Planned more things including Robot tanks, drones and Soviet Premier Tanks, making the progress 70% completed.

UPDATE 2: I will be adding moar stuffs into the game, making the beta 80% completed. Yes, a beta, which means it will include revamped naval combat. :D

UPDATE: I will be long gone for a while, won't be able to touch my computer for a month. So I can't send the files even though you contacted me. The alpha is 99% completed though.

After going into a delicious Spiral of DOOM, and making a semi-public mod for Project Brutality,

I have gotten back into C&C, and for some reason I have come across a mod, YR: World War Alliance. This mod seems like it was originally named as Generals Mod 2.75, however has been taken down due to unauthorized edits. However a new moddb page was created to post whats left of the mod.

Unsure whether I am able to recollect where I got my motivation, I set to update the current situation of the mod in my style. Resuming from the ingenious tweaks and seemingly hard work in the improvement of AI in Generals 2.75, I resume the development for my own amusement.

However as I was making more and more assets for the game, problems begin to shown and I am frustrated because there is no crashlog for the game to check for bugs. In the meantime, NPatch begins to show its limitations as it frustrates me to further continue my development.

That is when I decided to turn to ARES, and also decide to release my mod in public. ARES also have limitations and bugs, but it is better than NPatch in many MANY ways. There are one or two limitations for converting the mod, however, I decide to recode the features to suit the new features implemented.

After seeming hours of 5 days of coding, bug fixing, obtaining assets, making assets, the mod almost comes to completion. I am also delightful that Tesparg (Creator of YR Generals Mod) gave me permission for the making this mod, and that he further shows his interest in the legacy of the modding community. When my mod is done I will film and upload a video. The video will be a minute long and consist of download links for the public beta of Generals Mod 2.9, and ARES converted of Generals 2.75 and Generals 2.5.

However, if you would like to play the mod before I film, cut and render my video through Sony Vegas and NVIDIA Shadowplay, converting Generals 2.75 and Generals 2.5 to ARES. (Ass long process.) Private message me and I will send you the mod files. Take note that you are required to download ARES 0.C for the mod to run. Please do report any bugs, crashes and "balancing issues" in the game. The mod is untested in multiplayer, so if anything happens, report to me as well.

TL;DR PM me and I will send you a test version of GENERALS MOD 2.9.

P.S. Use ARES, don't use NPatch.

P.S.S.S. My goodness the modding community has grown so large that I am able to obtain any assets I want for my mod. :DD
