Valve Hates Mods? blog - hypesystem

After the new Steam update, with Steam Community and the new friendlist, you were able watch how much you have played the two past weeks.

But when playing mods, it doesn't count it! While in-game (or in-mod actually) your friend sees your status as
"In-Mod
XXXXMOD"
But it DOESN'T count in the status of how much you've been playing. How come? Valve just doesn't like mods? They have been bribed by some multinational mafia-company-alike-thing? What is the dark truth?
