I've tried to begin Deus Ex many times before and have always been turned off by the terrible visuals. There's something about this type of game that becomes harder to play once the graphics are poor. I play a whole bunch of other games that have terrible graphics, but the gameplay doesn't require detailed graphics. It's strange how I could have played this upon release and had no problem, but it's such a bugger nowadays. Anyway, this mod is brilliant and really adds to the playability of the game. Finally going to enjoy Deus Ex!
