I suppose I never asked but...does this have bots ? and is it moddable or is stuff packaged so it can't be modded ?
I suppose I never asked but...does this have bots ? and is it moddable or is stuff packaged so it can't be modded ?
Is this still being worked on and where can I watch over progress made on this if yes ?
any ideas on the minimum requirements might be ?
some screenshots would let peoples think there's direct control for ships, is it the case ?
Is there any plans of having a pay-to-download client on steam ?
and if yes what would be the price tag and would it have mod support ?
Why did I read "Cringelord" and why did the image of him being postal dude's rebellious teenager kid pop in my mind ?
Got a few questions after seeing the video
so I'll put em down here and see what happens.
1: While the game does very clearly take its main inspiration for the combat system from Valkyria chronicles I also see there are no method at the moment to repair/heal fielded units, to me it feels like RNG can decide to just screw the player over at random by blowing off crucial weapons/parts wich I can see leading to loading saves a LOT, is this going to stay as is ?
2: Most peoples talking mechs nowadays will also want to bring up customisation, whats the extent of planned customisation at the moment ?
3: The mechs have been shown off plenty but I'd be willing to bet there'll be progression with the pilots of said mechs, what will be the effects of pilot evolution and can we influence it ?
4: How will the missions be put in place ?
Will it be a linear campaign like valkyria chronicles where missions are as they are and never change ?
Or rather
A campaign with branching paths depending on players choices like armored core games tend to do ?
Or even
A randomly generated campaign like what Xcom Ennemy unknown does where missions are generated randomly using pre-existing maps and an overarching goal ?
5: Is there any plans regarding modding ?
and thats about all the questions I can think of at the moment.
Turn based action game ?
So are we talking Xcom or more something like Valkyria Chronicles ?
does this actually allow to play the game offline ?
you did say offline...
Is it that you can play offline against bots ?
it looks kinda neat on the paper
IMO it could make a for a good game if it was something like Escape Velocity Nova where for the most part one can do just whatever the hell he damn pleases
Errrrr
Isn't the chain part on the chainsaw going the wrong way or is it just me ?
can it be modded ?
and if yes to what extent ?
From that electrical effect GIF I see three different animations...just pointing that out
what about the PC release ?
will it be on schedule ?
May I suggest Desura ?
Its pretty much a sort of Steam made for indie games and the like, maybe it would be easier to go through with Desura in the beginning and THEN try to greenlight it on steam ?
Any idea on the price for it and where it'll be available ?
can we expect a release on PC ?
You know what'd be pretty rad ?
Some sort of "level" system that unlocks more areas of your guns to mod them, like Crysis but this time you need to level up to pimp out your crap
That and AOE effect weapons like irradiating a area or setting it on fire
actually I have bunch of questions regarding this game
1: is mod support on the "to do" list and if it is will you release modding tools ?
2:I may sound sarcastic asking this but will there be actual animations added to player models and mobs later on ?
3: how does the progression system would work ?
I must admit...I had really low expectations looking at the demo of the game being playable from a browser, I was expecting some clumsily thrown together concept demo in flash...
GOD DAMN was I wrong thinking that !
You guys have done a brilliant job !
The sprite work is nigh perfect
The combat mechanics and controls are really tight and solid
The music is charming to say the least
the only annoyance I had was with the game lagging a bit but then again if firefox ran games at a constant 60 fps it'd be known, I'm looking forward to seeing it in application form for it will then not have this Framerate issue !
I must admit I was not expecting such high quality but you guys delivered something that was quite the amazing piece of work !
I'll be tracking how you guys do and spread the word around me that you guys did such a splendid job of making this game/demo !
I wish you the best of luck !
Yeah I figured I'd let you guys know theres a japanese Indie dev thats making a game named Armored Core: Muscle Tracer
Idea is, its a Armored Core game for PC the only catch being that you can only use MTs
Couple of things I wanna point out
1: Its not quite obvious that certain buildings have multiple "seats" for different functions, might wanna put that in the manual (unless I skimmed over it)
2: The Gladiator and other vehicles with the same body has a tendency of grinding against itself when in any slope it gets REALLY annoying past a while...
3: The "don't spawn vechiles" command can't be used in two consecutive rounds as it pops midway through, plus the buildings get kida messed up when changing rounds as well
4: when using a drone, whenever you destroy a Node or someone destroys a nearby node, you automatically blow up for no reason
5: the model for the Destroyer vehicle looks a little off because the cannon has a tendency of clipping through the front of the hull, kinda ruins the look of it...
6: I can understand the point of the Locust as a AA defense vehicle but the Cobra is REALLY hard to find a use for because of how tight its range is, can't even properly hit ground soldiers with it...
7: ONE of the BIGGEST problems with this, the structure placement is RETARDED, sometimes it doesn't want to build on what's clearly flat ground whereas some other time it justlets you build stuff THROUGH THE WALLS...That REALLY needs a setting so people can just put stuff whereever they want...
It says there's no mirror to download from >:(
I do like this a lot but here are a few things I'd like to submit as ideas...
- a "Beginner mode" with just a health and hunger bar to make players be able of scouting out the map and get to know what each item does and where to find it
- a skin tool for one to make his own characters/skins
- a mod tool for one to make his own additions such as new weapons and new features (like RPG mode or vehicles or anything a modder would care to implement)
- a level editor for one to make his own maps
And I think this covers most of my of the ideas I had while playing...
I quite like it
though I have a few recomendation
1rst: Could you consider fixing the "bullet emitter" point on the machinegun ?
Because its too much on the right it actually messes up the aiming really bad
2nd: every now and then the HUD tends to go postal and display non-sensical stuff (although switching weapons tends to fix it)
And that would cover the really problematic stuff
The rest is just Ideas I had
- Why not adding the EVA pistol/magnum, Super Positron rifle (used against the diamond-like angel) and gatling cannon (featured in the movies)
-I was wondering, why not making a mode where a little team have to take on an angel with un-godly amount of health, see the bosses of the mod "Fraghouse Invasion" for referrence
And I'd also like to ask if the demo is compatible with other maps and gamemodes
