Thank you very much for the comment. Whilst we do agree that the game could have been longer, we don't as yet have any plans for a sequel. If/when we do, we'll be sure to post up here and let you all know.
Unfortunately we've moved onto other projects at this point, and it seems Hyde would need more than a little adjustment to the shaders to work on Linux correctly. However, we'll be sure to make a Linux build of our future projects.

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the game. Hyde is very much an alternate gaming experience - and one that was openly acknowledged as being within a niche genre during development.

These were probably our main sources of inspiration for the story, although you can probably pick up on references to more than a few films and games from the last two decades or so.

Thank you very much for the compliments Hawk, and for putting together that video. I did notice that you appeared to get stuck on the third apartment environment, after traveling to the School and the Hospital. The only thing I can really mention is that the item on the Mother's bed had plot significance. :) If you re-play it it your own time, I'm sure you will figure it out.
Regarding the Audio volume ... that's actually my fault. I balanced the Audio on my personal computer and then when we imported it into the game at uni it was far too quiet. Rather than re-editing and cutting all of the ninety ~ish tracks, we just did what we could to boost them in volume. Not the best solution I know, but sadly the only one we really had time for at that stage in the development cycle.

I think in future we will do more in our projects to ensure that the player's path is a tad clearer as I can easily understand why you were getting lost in places.
It was also really cool to see how quickly you caught onto plot hints, and even made mention of some of our points of inspiration (Silent Hill in the Hospital environment for instance).
Anyway, thanks again for enjoying our game, and helping to get the name out there. :)

I'm not entirely sure what the issue was in the graveyard with the black squares. I can only assume that it may have been an issue related to our snow shader and the Mac build at low settings. Regardless, I'll look into it for you and see if we can get a fix organized.
Regardless, I highly recommend that you re-play Hyde in your own time, there was a fair bit of extra plot information in the early apartment levels, just waiting to be discovered. :)
