Nice, but it needs a bit moore intense light. Not sure about the gray material. I would keep the green decals but replace the gray with either white or green.

Scouts dosnt have thoose big pauldrons that spacemarines have.
Rest of the model looks nice, but could use a normal map and some texture detail.

Everything in this game looks and seems to play top notch. The only problem i have seem to be the animations. Im not an animator myself but the walking looks really weird.

kinda bad lighting on this shot. the dark areas is kinda flooding the whole sceene. maybe a small ambient light would fix this to kinda take the dark tone from the textures down a bit. beacuse now it just looks extreme.
it might also be the image compression that play a part in this, i dont know. but i liked the other shot much better.
Its really impressive for beeing a source mod. very atmospheric. great lighting and texturing. i cant really tell how much of this is bsp and whats modelled and thats very good.
just hope this is optimized good ;) so we all can enjoy it.

How much polys do you pend on a prop like this? Are you moore free to do what you want in the cryengine 2 or do oyu till have some bounderys? I mean in most cases you can see that they are pretty low poly, but do you have the freedom to crank the poly count up a bit compared to lets say the Unreal Engine.
I know im mr complainypants now, but he dosnt have much of a characteristic now does he? He is moore like a blank canvas to personalize ;)

Just kidding, im the guy the modelled the G36C and the M3. I read your comments man, really nice to get some serious input.
The M3 is only at 2,3k polys, so since this is beeing done for Cryengine i felt free to bump up the details a bit.
Thats why some part of the Shotgun/G36 is bit moore detailed than others.
I hope that you will comment on my other guns and tell me where i can improve ;).
That texture lod is kinda killing my buzz...sorry but since you have kept an awsome quality on the previous shots im gonna have to complain about this one.

Much better lighting setup than the last renders. really shows the detail you put into some of the walls. GJ man.
More different kind of towers. And when i first played the fist release of the game, the difficulty curve was just insane. Make 5-10 stages easy then begin with the challenge so you at least have the chance to build a stable economy.
Cuz thats what TD is about ;) Creating a smart maze with lots of towers and lots of different kinds of towers.

Well im still here, and we could still do a Engine change. Unreal 3 is by far the easiest to learn and allready have a big community.
I did ask this on facebook, but how will the models get from .OBJ to your engine, do you have to compile them like in Source or can you just import them and the engine will do all the calculations like in the UnrealEngine.
Anyhow if you have to compile them a GUI would be really nice ^^

It just has a moore distinct look and feel to it. The Wing shape comes in great. Just hope you pull it off at a modelling stage ;)

The only thing i dont like on this mod is probably the usage of the original Crysis guns. if this is gonna be a total conversion i suggest you bring in some new and moore intresting looking guns that match your theme better.

Just as a comment on the blog update, what do you need done in terms of modding, is it audio modelling or? Cuz im pretty much the noob at Cryengine 2 but i have been along with Unreal engine 3 and i mostly do 100% custom content levels now.
