I cant really tell if this is Source or HL1 engine....
The only problem i have with Modelling is the UVmapping system, they should really develop a better system for applying textures on models that makes moore sence.
As models get moore and moore highpoly the UV mapping is horrible and it feels like it really limits you from going crazy with cool designs.
I really love theese, please release moore often :D

Fantastic, the problem i have with normal map generation is that i enhance the blue channel waaaay to much. But it would be awesome to separate the channels like you have, and enhance them that way.
Now i realize how stupid that comment was :D sorry thought this was ut3 mod.
Verynice, does this require physx driver or is it done using UT3's build in physics.

Nice, but it needs a bit moore intense light. Not sure about the gray material. I would keep the green decals but replace the gray with either white or green.

Scouts dosnt have thoose big pauldrons that spacemarines have.
Rest of the model looks nice, but could use a normal map and some texture detail.

Everything in this game looks and seems to play top notch. The only problem i have seem to be the animations. Im not an animator myself but the walking looks really weird.
Looks nice, would love to see some textures on thoose wall. Orange dev textures isnt that impressive ;)

kinda bad lighting on this shot. the dark areas is kinda flooding the whole sceene. maybe a small ambient light would fix this to kinda take the dark tone from the textures down a bit. beacuse now it just looks extreme.
it might also be the image compression that play a part in this, i dont know. but i liked the other shot much better.
Its really impressive for beeing a source mod. very atmospheric. great lighting and texturing. i cant really tell how much of this is bsp and whats modelled and thats very good.
just hope this is optimized good ;) so we all can enjoy it.

How much polys do you pend on a prop like this? Are you moore free to do what you want in the cryengine 2 or do oyu till have some bounderys? I mean in most cases you can see that they are pretty low poly, but do you have the freedom to crank the poly count up a bit compared to lets say the Unreal Engine.
I know im mr complainypants now, but he dosnt have much of a characteristic now does he? He is moore like a blank canvas to personalize ;)

Just kidding, im the guy the modelled the G36C and the M3. I read your comments man, really nice to get some serious input.
The M3 is only at 2,3k polys, so since this is beeing done for Cryengine i felt free to bump up the details a bit.
Thats why some part of the Shotgun/G36 is bit moore detailed than others.
I hope that you will comment on my other guns and tell me where i can improve ;).
That texture lod is kinda killing my buzz...sorry but since you have kept an awsome quality on the previous shots im gonna have to complain about this one.
