Which faction is the Elven one? Also, why are there a bunch of factions in the notes that don't exist and are governed by the player?
On to some bugs...
Ragnarr - from the DL page - already pointed out that a bunch of settlements are in the sea or awkwardly placed; though I'm not sure if their placement is supposed to fit in with the faction's lore somehow. Some of the villages are simply very close to another faction's castles/ villages, and one capital is oddly placed on the side of a mountain...though again, totally possible that those are placed due to faction lore.
The "Start New Game" option takes a long time to finish loading due to a handful of red script errors, and also gives you the Vanilla Warband list of cities to start in, instead of any of the custom ones. In addition, Elven male and female faces cannot be edited/ morphed.
That's all I've uncovered for now!
Awesome! Maybe now I can finally play as Austria without worrying about Germany getting steam-rolled. What other fixes are included? Or are they a surprise? :o
That's a little terrifying.
Good luck, guys!
Sounds neat :o
That's a great find, Eisenmann.
I really don't see the incentive to be the Empire, realistically...Chaos seem to have way better armour (when they have it) and melee weapons, and if nothing else the huge difference in height and muscle mass alone make for a big advantage. D:
Though there's still lots to be shown, I suppose, and I don't know much concerning the fantasy Warhammer lore.
Ooooooh, pretty. :o
That color scheme isn't very colorful.
I think the initial factions will only be the French Third Republic and the German Empire. They mean to expand on the mod, so I would assume more nations may be implemented in the future. Not exactly sure, though, since I don't follow the forums.
Unfortunately even if they did add more factions, they'd probably start off with the other larger ones; Russian Empire, Austria-Hungary, and the U.K. to name some.
Geez, that FT 75-BS looks/ sounds like it'll cause a heck of a lot of damage.
Oh God, yes please D:
Did the Great War team change something recently? Last I heard the actual in-battle models and modernized combat mechanics for all naval units were still on hiatus, but the "Visuality" award mentions era-specific ships engaging one another.
Congratulations on the top 5 spot :D
Damn. Even in the editor it looks pretty :o
Finally got around to playing the demo. I have to say: I'm definitely liking what you guys have done so far! So far your demo outshines many full Source mods in detail and atmosphere. Hopefully this can be finished and released without any major technical or legal issues arising.
Hey, it's that one map from AVP2 :o
Well, I'd support this as long as the core PW/PF changes that were planned are still set to be implemented.
I noticed in the trailer and one of the screens that the AK-47/ AKM has a folding bayonet...is the player going to be able to open and close it a la RO1, or is it simply cosmetic until it's unlocked via weapon leveling?
And if the former, are the US units also able to attach/ detach their bayonets at will?
Nice work. Good to see and hear that things are coming along. :)
And this is a Panther...not a Tiger.
Think you mislabeled?
As of my posting, this is a pic of a King Tiger.
D'oooooh....all three look gorgeous. Great work :)
Ah, thanks for clarifying...I feel a bit dumb now for asking.
Any chance at seeing what the (would-be) attackers were aiming to take? :)
So would this just be a small fort on the campaign map, or the initial assault for the taking of a larger city or fortification (possibly multiple stages/ maps depending on the size and scope of the settlement or fort)? Or something completely different? :o
Either way, great-looking scene.
Just a guess, but possibly both...like how the Japanese in RS have regular, camouflaged, and SNLF models/ uniforms.
That's a lot of facial hair.
As far as SP goes, players can unfortunately just money-cheat if they really want it that badly.
