To be fair...assuming it's his own original content - which I am for now - he has the right to share his own work or not. Not going to touch on whether that's a good or bad thing for the community at large; though it's still his right.
Personally I'd rather see realistically-functioning/ more modern firearm and AI overhauls before a wave of vehicles and vehicle-related mods, anyways.
How many people play this lately, roughly? :o
Neither one or the other is better. They're both their very own unique thing and have aspects that make them great.
Dive* rather, not drive.
Because nothing creates the horror experience like running through the level wielding a gun in each hand. I think next you should perhaps consider implementing slo-mo and a "stunting" system, like being able to drive and run up walls and do insane backflips. I think that'd add a lot to the scare factor of it all
Question...how long do you estimate the play time will be? :o
Another CTD as Austria-Hungary upon Germany's turn, Early November 1914.
I cheated a bit and scoured the entire map to look at what they might be building, but the only thing that would have been built on that turn would have been a Town Market. Perhaps those are bugged? I never use them myself, and it seems the AI doesn't -usually- build them either, but that's just a guess.
And those German helmets have a Chinese military emblem on them. And they're not wearing khaki...nor are they using Lee Enfields :x
Bunch of new standalone screens posted. I'm a bit anxious, though...a lot of buildings still look un-enterable. Hopefully there will be some more official map variety as well.
So...what's going on here, exactly? Context?
It works well for the most part, and it's really well-done. Unfortunately now and then some crashes occur...I believe one crash is when you try to finish research for suffrage for women. I've never been able to gain that due to crashing on the next turn.
For some reason I also got a crash as Germany in late February 1916 I believe (and earlier in 1915 in the same time of the year), despite the fact that I had no research going and I wasn't building any new units or buildings - however I beat the French into making peace with me in 1916 prior to my turn ending and the crash, so perhaps that broke the game ;D
Great news :D
Sounds pretty darn awesome.
It says statistics and high scores will be saved, but will the player gain renown or experience in some way? Also, will there be a loose story-line that's followed/ revisited after each case, or is there unlimited player? (Or both, even, I suppose)
Combat evolves with newer weapons, tactics, and enemies - not a surprise that the team in this case is experimenting with doing just that.
All gorgeous screens :o
Lovely and eerie work.
You do indeed, good sir.
Ooooh, pretty :o
I seem to get a crash while playing Austria-Hungary in early 1915 (I think upon my end-turn in late February?). I've tried ending my turn by cancelling all my building projects, and I'm not recruiting any units I don't already have, but to no avail. Any ideas? D:
This looks lovely :o
Eager to see how it turns out.
Very nice addition...not as big of a fan of those big, bulky armours Empire currently has a stockpile of.
They would be a terrifying gang to face after the apocalypse/ societal breakdown D:
Any way to implement working bayonets? I kind of doubt it (especially since DayZ had kind of wonky melee at best, and no bayonets if I recall), but it'd be a nice function if it's possible.
Thanks for the quick update :D
Looks and sounds very interesting. Eager to see how this turns out :o
Looking good :)
Actual magazine-fed bolt action implementation? Absolutely gorgeous work. However, maybe make the sniper rifle/ rifle fire a decent bit slower when the scope is attached? Seems a little fast, especially considering there's no recoil at the moment.
The stance doesn't help, but overall the body seems way too slim for someone in power-armor; at least in the thigh and bicep areas.
Thanks for the heads up; seems to have fixed things so far!
Everything has been working great so far except for one thing: with a decent amount of technologies researched and all my buildings fully upgraded in Berlin, the recruitment icons have now disappeared. I know this has happened in the past and with others...but is there any fix as of yet? As things are now, I've lost my powerhouse for recruitment and advanced units.
Is that the quickfix on the 2.02 patch page? If so, then yes...hence why I included the "+ QF" in there. If not, I didn't see it on the mod's site.
Well I guess I need to -yet again- wait for the next patch...2.02 + QF has me crashing in Zaton near Skadovsk every time I try to venture out; something that never happened with the immediate post-2.0 patch (plus the little fixes).
I can't really revert to that version either though, since it kept crashing when I tried to talk to the Colonel about completing the mercenary quest -and- after I tried escort the medic back from the Kindergarten.
Looks cozy :o
Thanks very much for the patch release! Hopefully I can get things to work much more smoothly :)
It may not work for everyone, but try playing with "classic" or "tactical" troop sizes.
